Important Notice:  Cursed Loot is considered to be in the Alpha stage. There will most likely be issues, possibly ones that are game-breaking. Do not use this mod in saves you care about or plan to spend a lot of time with.

How it works

When the mod is launched for the first time on a save, 20* curse slots have their effects randomly picked. Each slot can have up to 3 negative effects. If a slot gets 3 negative effects, one powerful positive effect will be added to potentially make the cursed item viable.

Cursed items may be found in specific locations (e.g. Dungeons, Cemeteries). They are not marked until picked up. Picking up a cursed item will automatically equip it, then apply a curse slot onto it. (I'm aware it's not ideal to force-equip items on pick up, however this is the only way that allows to apply curses at random. On a positive side, it means it should also work with any modded items** without additional patches.)

1
* Quest item is now cursed.

I've opted into making the curses interesting, rather than just plain stat reduction, though you'll find these too. Feel free to leave feedback regarding bugs or ideas.

* The number may change with further updates
** Currently only Armor and Clothing is supported, Weapons are planned with further updates
