I About Azzan

Azzan is a Redguard Sellsword born and raised in Hammerfell. He's traveled to Skyrim seeking adventure, and possibly a new land to call his home. Azzan has a troubling past in which he has a hard time sharing. He's a master swordsman who dabbles in healing magic and archery, but isn't against training in other schools of magic as well. He starts off a bit arrogant but slowly grows to humble himself in the presence of the player. You decide his destiny, influencing his opinions, thoughts, and actions as the adventure unfolds.

Azzan does well to blend in with the vanilla game, making him feel like he was always a part of the world. He adds on top of the questlines within the game, commenting on decisions, and sometimes even starting conversation with the player during certain situations. This mod also offers plenty of responses to his dialogue, allowing the player to play the kind of personality they want to play. A lot of his content also takes place during conversation in taverns, so really he's as involved in your playthrough as you want him to be.




II Follower Features

Azzan has about 800 lines of dialogue. Azzan is able to do the following!
- Build a bond with the player over time
- Comment on quests and locations
- Initiate conversation with the player about specific topics
- Immersion/Lore/Roleplay friendly
- Be married!
- Give the player small gifts and loot!
- Become a vampire! (optional)
- Be taught spells to use!
- Teach the player one-handed skill!
- And other interesting surprises!

What I plan to add later
- Possibly teach more spells
- Interact with NPCs
- spell to summon Azzan if he gets stuck???
- pass 1000+ dialogue!

One thing to note: When speaking to Azzan in a tavern or player home, you can ask him "what's on your mind." Overtime, as you grow your bond and adventure together, he will have more to say in response to that question!

I would list all the quests Azzan has voicelines for but I feel like that would spoil it, so just know he has voicelines for every major questline in-game including all the factions, the DLC questlines, and the main story. He also has voice lines for other smaller side quests as well, but its up to you to run into them :3

III Follower Stats

Azzan isn't entirely unstoppable or overpowered, but he can easily take care of himself. I take pride in giving him that balance without making him a liability on the battlefield. Azzan Starts at level 15 and levels up alongside the player all the way up to level 70! Each skill ranks up as he levels up bit by bit as well.

IV Where to find him & how to progress relationship

Find him in the Sleeping Giant Inn (Riverwood) He should be sitting at the table next to the front door near the fire.

To progress your relationship with him, simply just have him tag along with you during your journey and he will eventually ask to go to a tavern to speak. Then take him to a tavern while in town and speak to him. once the objective is completed, he will progress to the next stage.

Romance is an option BUT IS NOT FORCED ONTO YOU. You will get the option to romance him when the time is right.

To make him a vampire you must be a vampire yourself, and ask him if he wants to be bitten. Eventually, he will tell you he's ready on his own. After being bitten, give him 25 hours and he will turn.

There is a LOT of content in taverns with Azzan and I plan on adding more, so make sure to stop by a tavern every once in a while to speak with him and ask whats on his mind. You can also do this in any of your homes or any of your guild halls. Azzan is a man of business, and only wishes to speak personally in casual settings.

V Compatibility & Installation

Azzan MAY have some compatibility issues with any mods that change how marriage works. This would only be a concern if you wish to marry him. Odds are you'll be fine.

Safe to install midgame! Just don't be surprised to hear you might miss out on a dialogue line or two. Nothing crucial though.

OTHERWISE he shouldn't have ANY issues. He should be good to go.

Will work with Special Edition or Anniversary Edition. Mod has no conflictions with either.

You can install him any way you want. You can use vortex, mo2, or do it manually! Up to you!

Download Backported Extended ESL Support first if you plan on using this mod on an older version of SSE

VI Extra Information

Pictures and Trailer use Nat III Enb. Azzan's skin uses Vitruvia Skin Texture Overhaul in both. This skin texture is NOT INCLUDED with the mod, so whatever you're using he'll use. (also works with base vanilla textures of course)

You are more than welcome to make face/skin replacers for Azzan as mods if you'd like.
