This mod is the first in a series I'll be working on, a set of "reinterpreted" weapons from vanilla Skyrim. These are intended to be more realistic interpretations of Skyrim's weaponry with notes taken from the game's lore & the source of the weapon's comparative real-life culture, allowing me to keep some of the original "fantasy" details but put into a more believable fashion.
In the case of this weapon, the ancient nord sword was a simplistic Norse sword, with some primitive adornments of Skyrim's dragon along the weapon's hilt. In my recreated model I removed some of the pointless details, and minimized others to keep the the more unique details. The blade itself is no longer inverted along the central groove, the handle is actually practical, and the crossguard is now actually capable of protecting the user. Taking from the lore of the game, I ran with the fact these weapons came from the era where dragons ruled over mankind and opted to replace the pointless groove accents along the blade with dovahzul script.
