DESCRIPTION
A set of Alteration spells that will allow you to teleport. Locations are assigned with the "Mark" spell (and nameable) and later teleported to using the "Recall" spell. Requirements and number of Marks are configurable.

FEATURES
  • By default, 1 Mark is allowed per rank of alteration (novice, apprentice, adept, expert, master). This can be configured up to a total of 10 Marks per rank, for a total of 50 possible Marks.
  • What constitutes a "rank" of alteration is configurable with MCM: It can be contingent upon your Alteration skill level, or the Alteration rank-perks, or both (the default), or even neither (which will give you 5 marks per whatever Mark multiplier you have set, regardless of Alteration skill or perks).
  • Marks are nameable upon creation.
  • Preserves your orientation. The direction you were facing when casting "Mark" is the direction you will adopt when teleporting to that Mark using "Recall".
  • Spell tomes are added to spell vendors through script injection, so no bashed patch is necessary.

CAVEATS
Due to Papyrus's string caching, some strings may not obey the capitalization that you chose when naming a Mark. For example, were you to try and name a Mark "Gold", it would show up as "gold" instead. To get around this, add a trailing space to any problematic names, e.g. "Gold "; this will more often than not result in a unique string that hasn't already been cached with different capitalization than what you desired.

Remember that teleporting during quests—or from one location to another, and in doing so bypassing the normal Vanilla mechanic (like perhaps from Solstheim back to mainland, or from within an interior during a quest to somewhere in the exterior)—could mess up quest stages depending on what quests you might have active. Bear this in mind and try to use discretion, and also have a strategy for backing up or rotating your saves, or just not overwriting your old saves and making a new save each time.

NOTES
  • The leveled list script mentioned above runs through a quest added to the player (not visible in quest log) when loading/starting a game for the first time with this mod activated; it should therefore only run a single time when this quest is first added to the player. Thereafter, since your character will already have the quest that triggers it added and marked complete (again not visible in quest log), the leveled list injector script should never run ever again.
  • Should be safe to install on existing saves. Should be compatible with pretty much anything.
  • 1.0.0 is the last version without SKSE/UIExtensions requirements, and can thus be used on systems unable to make use of those.
