This is very nice. It's very good to see the bardic role of historian taken more seriously.
Over in the forums, I posted a piece evocatively titled, THE HELL IT IS! which was a combination of a rant about what a douche the devs thought you were if you did Lost To The Ages as even taking Katria's revenge on that damnable apprentice left his lie as the official story (Namely The Aetherium Wars) instead of getting the truth out there and a request to have someone expand/complete the quest by getting Calcelmo and/or the Bards' College to make a more honest edition and give Katria her proper due.
(Seriously, look up the wiki entries to Lost to the Ages and tell me you don't feel insulted reading to the end.)
Sorry about that. Lost to the Ages is the Aetherium Forge quest. After you fulfil Katria's very final ambitions and get an item forged, there is an opportunity to fight and kill that ass of an apprentice, the one who stole her work to publish as The Aetherium Wars. After? According to the wiki, you just leave it like that, so the only legacy, the only history of the mess is... The Aetherium Wars.
I've always hated that! Katria's spirit couldn't rest until the truth got out there that it was HER research and not Taron Dreth's, and yet the game doesn't update any subsequent copies of the book that you find. Lazy, Bethesda, just lazy.
It doesn't seem like Bards Reborn and your mod work together. Bards Reborn only lets you enroll in the college through its new NPC, who tests your speechcraft beforehand. Because you no longer go through the headmaster to enroll, the dean of history doesn't recognize that you've joined and will not let you study with him.
You are wrong EkkoFoxtrot. At the new NPC from Bards Reborn you only have to pass the exam, and then you have to talk to the "Guild Master" to be accepted to the Bards. I CHECKED and both mods (Bards Reborn and this mod) work correctly :)
For some reason the exams won't work for me, When I take an exam it says there is only one question and each answer is 'Undefined' and then ends after I select one of the options.
I have the requirements listed so i'm unsure what could be causing the issue. I do use the mod 'The Shadow Song' which I think could potentially be the issue however I can't remove it with the game crashing so I haven't had the time to test it.
Any idea what could be causing the issue? If not i'll keep digging :)
I just realized, I had not listed Papyrus Utils as a requirement. Apologies. Please make sure you have both Papyrus Utils and Papyrus Extender, for your Skyrim version.

Edit: I think someone's made one already. I'll probably post it on the 3tweaks page unless you rather have it here.
On the 3BF page sounds good.
Thanks!
