    If you want a patch (ie, to remove trees that clip with your mods), send me the id's of any trees you'd like deleted and I'll remove them from the next version. Click on the tree while the console is open. Double check you have actually clicked on the tree by typing ~"setscale 2" without the ""

    And do us a favor. Delete the first two numbers and replace them with xx. This way I can do a ctrl f replace xx for whatever value the esp is assigned when loaded, saving me the trouble of having to edit each of the id's.

    Will you add billboards like the Great Forest of Whiterun Hold's? Those are incredible...but unfortunately the mod-author messed something up, and as a result, you get Yellow Aspen tree billboards instead of the Pine one's. This bug is prominent in the snowy mountain & forested areas that surround Riverwood, Lake Inilta, and Helgan. (The actual Whiterun-forest doesn't seem to have this problem.)
    However, the Mod author claims that if that happens, it's another mod conflicting with his edits to the tree LOD or tree billboards, but most people who've had the issue(like myself) have tested it with a fresh install and clean Skyrim SE, and yet the issue still persists. I've explained the issue on their thread, but judging by the fact it's been brought up before and not resolved, with answers like: "Download DynDoLOD, it's easy!" & other less-than-polite remarks from elitist players in the past? Well, I don't expect a fix anytime soon. (I'm hope I'm wrong though.)

    Most people with limited time and less than mediocre modding experience would prefer to hold-off on using LODgen and DyndoLOD related mods, as if you don't know what you are doing, they can take hours to get to work properly and potentially break your game. So this is ultimately why i'm asking you.

      The default billboards included with DynDOLOD or Indistinguishable Trees should work just fine because, unless I"m mistaken, there aren't any custom trees included. However, with that said, the tree heights could be an issue with the txt files to adjust them down, but I haven't seen any report on this yet. I'm just helping out with this mod and haven't actually had time to build the LODs myself to give a better answer than that. :/

      Ultimately, I think we're having a miscommunication here. The TL;DR: Of my original comment is: "Hey, can you add billboards to your forest mod because the other guy's forest mod messed up with the billboards. He's basically telling people that it's their fault if the yellow aspen billboards show up instead of the vanilla pine one's, and that you have to install LODGen to fix it by adding your own."

      No personal issues taken, but I think the miscommunication is from a lack of knowledge. ^_^

      Sounds like you're asking for LODs and not for billboards...
      LODs are pre-made, plug-n-play assets that users can install and play without doing anything else.
      Billboards are used to create LODs using DynDOLOD or xLODGen. If you're not wanting to use either of those programs, you're wanting LODs, not billboards. You've been saying "billboards" so I gave you the answer for billboards: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11446

      I downloaded that mod to confirm that it's actually LODs that you are asking for because there are no billboards in the mod's main file. These can easily be built but if I'm the one providing them, they'll only be for the vanilla game and this mod. There are too many tree mods out there to account for to be providing LODs for all of them. Some of the other team members here may provide LODs for other mods, if they feel inclined too, but no guarantees. Ultimately, it's better for the user to create their own in any situation where any other tree assets are used that aren't vanilla.

    Hi, will you make a patch to make this work with The People of Skyrim 2 ? It's ok if you don't feel like it ofc, but the 2 combined would be awesome. There's clipping issues with the placement of new camps/patrols/bandits etc

    Hello everyone! Tech here.

    I'll be helping out with this mod here and there. I will help address and fix the bugs reported and other things when they come up. My first act is to always update the versioning scheme, if it's not standard. This mod was't using semantic versioning, therefore, I have updated the page and files to reflect proper versioning. All the files are technically based off a single version, therefore, all file versions should match. The versioning scheme is now: Major.Minor.Hotfix or v1.0.0 (currently). This should help mod managers with the version numbers.

    I've also moved the optional files away from the main files. The 'Whiterun Forest Borealis with Indistinguishable LODs' file is the most vanilla related file, providing users running vanilla trees with matching LODs. The 'Whiterun Forest Borealis - no LODs' main file is for everyone else wanting the full version. Users will have to generate their own LODs with this file.

    The provided optional files are a new "lightweight" version made to be more compatible with a greater variety of mods. The other optional file is for users with vanilla trees and 'Realistic Aspen Trees' installed, and is provided for user-convenience since it's a popular combination of trees mods.

    Regardless of Main or Optional file, users should only download and install one file.

      Ignore the above. Looks like we actually got the files cleaned up now. The only version supported is the new lightweight version (v2.0).

      if you're talking about the mammoth picture, should be skyrim flora overhaul or/and unbelievable grass two.

    If I use this mod in conjunction with big trees will it ruin the short trees of this forest?

      whatever tree mod you use, will simply be placed in every position that this mod adds a tree.
      So yes, big tree mod = big trees in this location. Which to me honestly hit amazing (back when I used Simply Bigger Trees), now I use 3D Trees and Tree Addon though.

    Hello, great mod so far and surprisingly performance is good as well.
    1 question about LOD generation tho:

    First, I use SBT with this mod. What are the differences between the method you've mentioned about generating LODs in xEdit manually and just using SSELodgen to do it's thing ?

      you just drop the .esp into your data folder correct? i did and ran loot and hopped in and didnt see any trees..
      EDIT: nvm i forgot to activate the plugin. buuuuuut i did CTD coming in from riverwood into whiterun. :/

    Is anyone else seeing very big blocky landscape texture lines, they almost look like they are the cells themselves? I'm testing this and am noticing quite a few places like this with the mod on. The grass matches these lines also. One example is the bleakwind basin giant camp. that particular cell has green landscape and grass to match but its in a perfect square and then cuts back to the normal textures and grass colors. Just Curious if others are getting this also or if its just me. I dont have any other mods on and can still see this happening.

      I just came here to report this same thing. Most noticeably in bleakwind basin. Some of the landscape edits cause single cells to stick out like a sore thumb.
