About complex blending terrain mods, there is no way that a multi-pass mod like this or SoS works good with it. As also Boris said: "Issue is because of how stupidly game render snow second time much later, when terrain blending already happened with non snowy rocks. And there is no way to fix this".

Well honestly a workaround solution will be here soon.

How it this better than Simplicity of Snow? Should I replace it?

You should use the one you like best. The only way to tell is to try both and then decide. I'm not an enemy of Simplicity of Snow, it's a good mod and wSkeever is a great author so you should really try them both and then decide for yourself

Bugfix for the error in the console, the "po3_BaseObjectSwapper.log" conflict.

File: Better Dynamic Snow - Definitive Edition_SWAP.ini
    E:\Steam Games Library\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data

Line: 56 - change the following:
    56StockadeLeanTo01Light_SN | StockadeLeanTo01Light_SN_bds (NOT: StockadeLeanTo01Light_snow_bds)

This is the correct data entry:
    55;====================Stockade Scaffold direction material fix====================
    56StockadeLeanTo01Light_SN|StockadeLeanTo01Light_SN_bds

That will destroy the Error-Message in the console (ingame) & you'll finally get peace of mind!
For the Monks among us who strive for perfection.
    Error codes simply annoy -_-

    ...

The "po3_BaseObjectSwapper.log" file can be found here (for example):
    C:\Users\*user_name*\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE

Is this compatible with patches from BDS? Or should I only use patches made for SoS?

If some mods require/use the original BDS, does this mod replace the need for the original? Like how OAR replaces DAR?

What exactly do I have to pay attention to when moving from the original BDS 2.11 mod to this new Definitive Edition?

    - The description mentions "this mod does not require any old patch made for BDS 2.11." What would be an example for an old BDS 2.11 patch?

    - What about Majestic Mountains-BDS With LOD Fix? Not needed anymore?

    - Is is still necessary to run the Better Dynamic Snow Patcher xEdit  script? Without running this script, I get a lot of purple snow textures with BDS 2.11. Parallax-related, I think.

    - What about the ProjectedDiffuse Patches? I use the one for Nordic Snow as I use Nordic Snow for snow textures.

    - What about compatibility with No Snow Under The Roof?

    - Anything else I should be aware of?

I am still having the issue with the white/lightgrey mossy rocks a bit everywhere (a lot around whiterun) from the Majestic Moutains / BDS known bug.

Is the fix included here and i'm doing something wrong ?

    Hello nicola89b,

First, I need to say WOW, this snow mod is amazing!

    As I read through the Description page, there was something I didn't see any mention of, how amazing the terrain blending would be when using this mod, but it does say;

Images are all made using Atlantean Landscape -Complete- Complex Terrain Parallax.

So, I guess one has to assume, if you're using Atlantean Landscape, which I'm using, there would be some nice terrain blending going on. But, I was using BDS 2.11 since wizkid34 is using it. I had been using BDS 2 since it came out, then upgraded to BDS 3, and I've been on BDS 3 until Atlantean Landscape was released, then I switched back to BDS 2.11.

Well, ever since terrain blending has become more advancved in Skyrim, which really turned into a better thing, ENB's EnableTerrainBlending option, in regards to snow terrain blending, I was seeing a lot of edges, and a shade effect around the edges when using it. To my understanding, if I'm correct, at least by the replies Boris gave me, there was nothing that could be done about this. And no disrespect intended at all to Boris or his work, ENB is amazing! This is only about an observation I've been seeing when using EnableTerrainBlending with previous snow mods before using Better Dynamic Snow 2.11 - Definitive Edition.

I made a post here at ENBseries; EnableTerrainBlending=true - Shade Effect & Shadows

I've used quite a few snow mods and enbs, so either I'm unlucky, or the edges and shaded area around the snow terrain was the reality, that is, until I started using Better Dynamic Snow 2.11 - Definitive Edition. Not only is this shaded effect now gone, but the snow terrain blending is absolutely amazing too! Compare the second pic at the ENBseries post, with the last pic using Better Dynamic Snow 2.11 - Definitive Edition, what a major difference in blending, I mean WOW!

Better Dynamic Snow 2.11 - Definitive Edition looks amazing, but seriously, let's start talking about how amazing the blending is making the terrain look too in snowy areas!

The 'Reality Immersion Level' as I'm going to call it, how much more reality did this add to the game, giving a greater depth of realism, making it look more realistic, well I'll damm well tell ya LOL, my 'Reality Immersion Level' went up a bloody 75%-90%, that's how damm good the snowy terrain enviroment looks now!

WHAT AN UTTERLY BLOODY AMAZING MOD!

I am truly grateful for this amazing piece of work! THANK you very much, take care and be well!

    nicola89b you deserve an Award!
