It hurts a little to hear the tundra wind. I mean, it literally hurts. Some have some unpleasant spectrum to the ear. Or it just stands out too much from all the other sounds, too inorganic and foreign to the wind.
I'll look at other options for those with sensitive ears. For the time being, you could always just copy one of the other sound files and rename it to the Tundra or Mountain wind. Very simple and quick to do.
Just installed pretty much your entire suite; absolutely loving it. Would you consider an addon for those of us who have turned Whiterun Hold into a forest woodland? I am using Alpine Forest of Whiterun Valley with Veydosebrom Green Tundra but the (now forested) region still sounds like a tundra. If it's not too much to ask, this would ideally include your Wildwood Echoes and Murder of Songbirds mods for consistency; although i'd still be very grateful with just an addon for this mod if that's a lot of work.
Hey, one of my biggest wishes is to have leafy forests have the soothing sound of thousands upon thousands of leaves rustling against each other. Idk if this is a me-thing, but it's one of the most relaxing feelings ever. Listening to that natural white noise is pure bliss to me. Maybe I should go outside...
Really want to +1 this. I have yet to find a mod that adds that sound, which should play in all forests (pine trees make a similar but different wind sound than leafy trees).
Are the animal sounds part of the file? I know you took out the monkeys from the marsh, but that eagle screech in the Reach, was that this mod or another in your LO?
I clicked minus on it then, it only had just enough people for it to say it was. Figured it wasn't but had to ask since you've not used AI in your mods
I've noticed when using this mod the ambient insect sounds for most regions no longer play during the day. Was this a creative decision? and if so how can i add them back?
ok, well i tested it on vanilla playthrough with no other mods and the issue persisted in the tundra during the day. Uninstalled and the sounds returned.
So I hear the Nordic Wind sounds, but I don't know what it is about my game, I keep hearing the vanilla gusts, even after I disabled them in the FOMOD, which is drowning out the Nordic Winds. I'm currently using Audio Overhaul & Immersive Sounds Compendium, but even with those I'm having a bit of trouble being able to only hear the Nordic Winds
I thought maybe it was something with my headset, so I checked some forums that recommended to turn on Loudness Equalization for your headset, and I tried that, but that doesn't seem to have helped. Does anyone know a way around this, or how to make the Nordic Winds louder?
EDIT (Aug 15/2024): I've recently installed and set up Equalizer APO, disabled all audio enhancement in Windows, and now just using Equalizer APO to control sound in games. Much better than before, and I can now actually hear the differences in wind!
Your mods are more than welcomed, it has become hard to find new good quality sound mods. And yours are one of those!
I have a very special request, very dear to my heart: could you please at least give it a try to really improve horse step sounds by making them "heavier" with more bass and more grounded? You know as close as those in M&B Bannerlord or RDR 2, more similar to those. Pweeaase
I know there is an old mod called "improved horse step sounds" but they're still so old and weak - horses still sound like they have feathers instead of hoofs.
I tried! I used to make mods including voice acting, but working with the horse files turned out to be a real pain, so I gave up haha I was hoping someone else more talented and more willing would make it one day...
I'm thinking other mods that add locations desperately need your sound mods. Namely Beyond Reach. The first area is completely silent. If I were to make a patch for my own personal use, how would it be done? I'd love to get the Reach loop playing throughout the entire region.
Please please keep doing these mods. Sound is so overlooked and your work is fantastic!
