Hmm, my mod basically only allows elven races from CotR to use human hairs. Vanilla hairs that are made specifically for vanilla elven races still won't fit CotR elves, because the head scalp is different. CotR Overhaul does a better job in that regard.
Alas, slight clipping (with male scalp especially) still occurs even with human hairs, like at the back of the neck for example. What I do is just lightly sculpt that part until the clipping is gone. The better solution would be editing every single hair with Outfit Studio to fit CotR, but I don't really know how to do that.

There is a slider called "Head Scalp Fix" in head tab for male and face tab for female that helps with that " gap " in the latest COTR Overhaul, maybe you didn't notice.
But maybe your mod resolve this a better way, don't know.

It's too bad we can't use these hairstyle with CoTR because they are "vanila" and very good...
