About this mod

Enables you to craft Falmer Hardened and Heavy Armor Sets as well as two new Shellbug Helmets to fit nicely with these armors sets, all are upgradeable just like vanilla armors.

Permissions and credits
I wanted to build myself a servant of Hermaeus Mora type of character that looks as unearthly and inhuman as possible, the only suitable armor sets for such appearance are Falmer Hardened and Falmer Heavy armor sets as well as Shellbug Helmet, third place goes to Chitin Heavy Armor but that one can be crafted in vanilla game.

Falmer Hardened and Heavy armor sets are rare in Skyrim and to obtain Heavy sets you must be high level as well before Falmer begin dropping parts of the armor set. That means too much waiting for my character to look the part which is why I made them craftable so I can get them as soon as I have the necessary perks and ingredients.

Falmer Hardened armor set has very similar stats to Dwarven set which is why you need Dwarven smithing perk to craft it, Falmer Heavy armor set is similar to Ebony set which is why you need Ebony smithing perk to craft it. Shellbug Hardened Helmet requires Dwarven and Shellbug Helmet Heavy requires Ebony smithing perk. The difference between these Shellbug helmets and the one in the game is that these are not crafted from Shellbug chitin, but from Chaurus chitin and the have appropriate armor stats equivalent to Hardened and Heavy sets. Why? Because they fit nicely with Falmer armors visually and Chaurus chitin can be obtained early on. They should give you the matching set bonus as I flagged them with appropriate armor material keywords. The armors can be found in the Misc category at the forge.

To temper them you will need to have Arcane Blacksmith perk and Chaurus chitin just like upgrading them in the vanilla game, Shellbug helmets have the same requirements for tempering, you wont be able to temper them past the Flawless quality without Fortify Smithing potions and/or Fortify Smithing equipment, the tempering recipes are untouched which means this is a limitation from the vanilla game.

Update-Optional file where you can buy Hardened set from Belethor, you cant buy Heavy set from him as it is Ebony level armor and obtaining it early on would not be balanced. Hardened is similar to Dwarven which can be obtained early in vanilla game so it is okay if you get it as soon as you can buy it.
