The Elysian Sword of Light is a custom dueling sword which is enchanted with lighting damage.
While I like to mod Skyrim and other games, I never thought about releasing my mods since they're put together in a quick and hacky way just to make them barely work for me. This time around though, I decided to make a fully featured weapon from scratch, from model to implementation. And here we are!
Important detail:
If you're not using the latest Skyrim version (1.6.1170) you MUST get this mod as a hard requirement: Backported Extended ESL Support

Information
The sword is substantially longer than a normal one-handed sword, but it's not a two-handed weapon. I simply like the overly long grips and pommels two-handed weapons have but keeping it as a normal sword that you can pair with magic, a shield or even another sword of your liking.
The weapon cannot be craftable (since it's supposed to be unique although I might change that on a future update) and can be found in a certain cave. It's enchanted and deals high lighting (shock) damage,has above average base damage and it can be further upgraded using a grinstone (it requires 'Arcane Blacksmith' and a moonstone ingot). It also scales with the One-Handed skill, of course!
The mod is available in 4K and 2K textures. ESL file, but ESP version also available.
Here's a hint to find the weapon and its backstory:
Legends speak of a traveler from beyond the Sea of Ghosts,
who brought with himself a weapon of incredible power decorated
with gold and its blade forged with a mysterious white metal, thought
to be indestructible and capable of summoning the power of lighting.
In Windhelm, the City of Kings, it is said that he lived a peaceful life
where the traveler shared tales of great wars and conquest with the
people who wanted to hear them. But the sword's origin remained a
mystery and the ones who asked never got an answer, the only clue
about its story being the scratched metal that has seen a thousand
battles before.
The traveler eventually met his fate, but against all odds it wasn't
against a great foe or in a epic battle, but just misplaced love...
...his weapon, the Elysian Sword of Light as it was called, thus fell
into darkness and was eventually forgotten by most just like the traveler who once wielded it.
But some say that, North of Windhelm, there's a coastal cave frozen
in time. And in the very depths of the cave the mighty sword of light
might finally see battle once again...
You can also get the weapon by opening the console and typing help "Elysian sword" 4 and then typing player.additem xxxxxxxxx 1 (the x being the item ID).

Changelog:
1.2 - Fully converted to .esl, deleted a lot of junk data and unnecessary changes and hopefully made it so it can be spawned in the game no matter the conditions or the load orders.
1.1 - The Sword can now be upgraded using a grindstone. It requires 'Arcane Blacksmith' and a Moonstone Ingot.
