That's what the original mod was called "Realistic Transparent Glass Armor and Weapons".

Technically, "Glass" armor and weapons in Skyrim are made out of Malachite, which is a metal?, so the fact that they're not transparent makes sense; still, when you think "glass", you think "see-through", so, thats what that mod is for.

Malachite is not metal but crystal, therefore also transparent

Malachite is copper ore and definitely not transparent

Armor still broken. Not sure if that was caused by The book of UUNP or not

    Hi, I have an issue.

The weapons seems to be working fine, but when i look at a glass shield in inventory it works fine, but when i or an npc equips it, it isn't transparent.

Any ideas, i would really appreciate. Thx in advance

SOLVED : Actually, it wasn't a vanilla shield, it was called "steel glass shield" (added by immersive armors i think) but when i checked for the real vanilla item it worked fine. So i never had any issue in the end.

How did you port them? I'd like to port the aMidianborn patch but Nif Optimizer doesn't seem to work or maybe I'm doing it wrong.

NIF Optimizer does not work on textures. Only Meshes so when I do it I copy the utility into the folder I am updating the Meshes and start the tool keeping head parts separate from everything else using NIF Optimizer on both head parts and regular NIFs - Remember to check the Head Parts Only box when you do that too. You can delete the copied NIF Optimizer file or move it to another folder. I delete copy etc, or whatever works for you.

If you have an ESP file simply load it into the CK with the Data tab, let it load the mod fully and just hit the Save button directly below the Data button.

Check the file in the mod folder by checking the date before and after saving the file in the Creation Kit. That informs you whether it saved properly and updated the date from the original date. You can then load it into TESEdit and check the file further if you wish. I hope this helps.

DOH@me - resurrecting a dead post. Sorry, he might come back and read it!

You have to install the oldrim mod first, then this on top of it.

    Hi, cerebii...
I found that weird black shades still appeared on boots.
Is it possible to fix ?

Didn't even know I had a problem with the transparency mod until some Thalmor started attacking me with gigantic exclamation points on their groins.

    Thanks for this.
