Unfortunately, in the dialogue with Grosta there is only a phrase that Leifnarr is dead, although during the conversation he is alive standing before her eyes. I tried to start the quest by talking to her - it didn't work; Then I started first with saving Leifnarr, and only then came to Heartwood Mill - still in the dialogue there is only a phrase about a dead body.
Once, after the quest was closed between the couple there was one conversation with a mod, but then the "widow" again says that she was sad after the death of her husband. And at the same time he chops firewood a few steps towards her.
id love if first meeting required the healing hands/heal other spell or a health potion like that one hunter in falkreath, seeing as the poor guy was being tortured for fun in there. itd be awful but great modwise if you could fail to save him by not healing his wounds
Hi thank you for the nice mod, it really is something that i was searching for...but i have a small problem...i already found Leifnarrs dead, and the quest to bring the news of his demise is in my miscellanious quests but i havent seen Grosta to deliver the news....with this mod installed theres Leifnarr alive and Leifnarr dead lying on the ground, that means 2 Leifnarrs....is it possible to continue saving Leifnarr and ignore dead Leifnarr ? i experienced ctd....dont know if thats the problem...ty and happy holidays!
Hm, I originally made the mod after I'd already got the quest, but before I found Leifnarr's corpse, and it worked fine, but not sure if it could work in a situation like you're describing. If possible, reload to a save from before you found the body and check if you're still having the issue.
Is it possible to install the mod with a save already started? I am just in front of Grosta, not talked to her yet. Can I install the mod now and start the quest as if nothing happened (installing a mod mid game)? I will be very sad if Leifnarr has to stay dead until I start a new character...
I'd just like to express my gratitude for this mod, I needed to go into Broken Helm Hollow to get something for LotD and did not go by the mill first. I found him in there and it was not unimmersive, led him back home and the quest finished perfectly. Love the edited idles and convos with his wife and child after you return him, it's so nice to have a happy ending now. <3
Always had wanted to be able to save this guy, but he's always been dead, sometimes that is just how it is, you can't save everyone, well, maybe not everyone but at least this man will have a chance now. Finally was able to get to him before the cannibal bandits decided to chop 'im up, rescued him and brought him back home.
Well, when I saw that there was an update for Thogra, it was instant download. I much appreciate the idea of custom voiced followers, personality traits and a journey of their own, entangled with the main character. And sometimes I find it interesting when the main character becomes the "follower" for a while. A different perspective. I got this mod because that reminds of Save the Day by Anshela with a very different emotional weight, though. And since anxiety and depression are heavy hitters, a soft, happier ending is nice! Good job! Keep it up! I hope you have good, marvelous days ahead.
P.s. I must finish my follower mods when I gather energy enough again. I had even voiced one of them!
I have two questions, do you know if the mod is compatible with BUVARP ? And if it is safe to install it mid-game ?(I haven't started the quest and visited the rift yet)
I don't know for sure, but BUVARP apparently makes one of Hircine's hunters court Grosta if they survive. I don't think it would cause any technical issues, just maybe some awkwardness I guess.
Should be safe to install mid game. I created it mid-game and played it on the same playthrough with no issues.
