Please, if you have any issues with the actual quest to give Meeko to Lod, please refer to Bring Meeko To Lod and its troubleshooting tips. All this patch modifies is adding a key to Meeko's inventory.
FYI, in my testing, even with the NFF ignore token in his inventory, he was still included in the NFF framework, and I had to dismiss him to get him to stay with Lod. But it worked every time.

I added an alternate version for vanilla, mainly because a crate placed by Spaghetti's mod clipped with the bowl and rug. It can be used on plain vanilla or with Spaghetti's decorations. And it may be more compatible with other mods that add clutter that I don't know about! Anyway, now you have a choice. Placement can be seen in the pictures. You can switch between versions safely, but the rug might be stubborn to move until the cell resets, I use rumpled rugs so that may be a factor. Take care!
I found your Roosters so checked your mod list... a true solution to two of the worst quests for me (Player loose Meeko at some point doing some quest and seeing poor Lod with no dog.) and this mod completes the other mod, thank you.
Thank you for the kind words! Yes, I've always loved Andrealphus' mod and was glad (when I learned how to mod) that he allowed me to add to it. Such a heartwarming little thing that should have been in the game all along. <3
Hmm.. The ADL version of the handover already has him following Lod, I think he can accompany him inside into a vanilla home, and JKs provides rugs he can lay on, so really the only thing you'd be missing is the bowl and laydown markers.
I can probably edit the JK Skyrim version to remove the handover edits and following, and just have the bowl and laydown idles if you think the ADL version lets him go inside. Let me know what you think, I no longer use ADL and don't have JK's so your feedback would be cool.
Small Conflict report: I believe the mod [Skyrim Landscape and Water Fixes] adds some tanning racks next to lod's workshop, which clip with Meeko's bowl and rug. If you use SLaWF, be sure to use alternate vanilla version instead. And a question to arthor, sticky comment says you can switch versions freely, does that means mid-save? I have a save before visiting Falkreath, can I safely replace the vanilla version with alternate vanilla version now?
Edit: SLaWF moved some of the tanning racks, not added them in. My mistake.

Yes, thank you both for the genius-ness of the original feel-good mod, and then the thoughtful additions plus keeping it functional with the overhauls! I already kudo-ed each of you some time ago, and endorsed the OG BMTL, but I can at least endorse this addon mod.

My pleasure.. thank you for posting the request which motivated me to get off my butt and put it online (with alternate patches), It'd been sitting in my load order for a couple months while I worked on other things.
Yeah JK's Skyrim adds items that would clip with the rug and bowl and would definitely need a patch. I use it as well and came here to ask the same question. :)

The only issue would probably be something clipping with the placed items.
