If you encounter any issues, don't freak out, just report them! It's impossible to catch all issues before release. It is just a normal part of software development.
I can't find a compiled DLL on your GitHub, do I have to compile it myself? Thanks for your work, I hope your PR gets merged (but Exit-9B was last active 3 months ago :/ )
Will you please upload this to Nexus? I'd like to include it in a Wabbajack compilation and will require a meta file. Alternatively I could approach the Wabbajack team and see if they'd upload it to their servers, but its not my work and that'd be unlikely to happen. Perhaps a caveat on your description page that you'll remove it if Parapets does update?
Either way, thanks so much for the fix in the mean time.
Let me try reaching out to Parapets one last time before doing that. I don't want to be taking DP for such a simple fix on top of all the work that went into the original. I'll reach out today.
That’s what I mean. I don’t own this page, Parapets does. He’s working on merging an update to this mod to be compatible w latest mo2 — i.e. my DLL won’t be useful much longer. Sorry if that wasnt clear
I figured it would sort itself out and hadnt checked back til now, but thanks so much for contacting him and giving us the updated info. Sounds like an official version will be out before I have my modlist done anyways. And if not, I guess it's not too important a plugin and I can just remove it for the compile. Just very convenient to keep. Cheers :)
I'm very confused. I have mo2 2.5.2, Parapet's dll doesn't work so I tried yours but it gives the error "invalid vector subscript" any ideas? I installed parapet's and then replaced the dll with yours. Am I a dumbass or something?
I manually set one esp in LOOT to a group. But this plugin always show it a "default" tag. Btw, Could i request a feature here to have a separator of ESL,ESM,ESP... ?
Would it be possible to use the conflict detecter to launch SSEEdit in quickshowconflitcs only loading mods that conflict with a chosen mod? If so, it would rly improve workflow on bigger load orders, where xedit load times start to increase a lot
Parapets, I adore your work. You make some of the best mods in the entire community, including this one. For that reason I implore you to update and fix this plugin. It has become absolutely essential for managing large load orders, I wouldn't bother modding Skyrim again without it. But at the same time it is horribly, heartbreakingly broken the way it randomly and unpredictably scrambles your load order for no apparent reason. It's incredibly frustrating to have such an invaluable modding tool which also randomly undoes all your hard work managing and sorting mods. The only workaround I've found is to make regular backups that I can restore whenever the plugin decides to bug out.
This is my regular experience using this plugin. I have all my plugins neatly organized and categorized on the right pane. On the left pane, I decide to disable a CS Light config because I am messing around with Light Placer. For some reason this triggers Bethesda Plugin Manager to completely scramble my plugin load order on the right pane and create dozens of duplicate categories each with two or three plugins in them. It makes no sense whatsoever.
Okay, after dealing with this problem since the plugin's release and trawling through many pages of comments here, I have discovered this behavior is caused by having the "Lock GUI when running executable" option in MO2 disabled. The load order scrambling still occurs but it will give you the option to restore it with a popup saying "Load order was changed will running. Keep changes?" which you must select "no" to. Annoying but it's better than creating and restoring backups every 10 minutes. I hope this helps someone else.
found something, if you dont want the grouping load order you can disable the plugin via MO2 Setting>PLugin>Bethesda Plugin Manager and uncheck the enabled. restart the MO2. it will disable the grouping but it still keeping oversee the .esps conflicts. note that this only work if the load order yet not sorted into groups. yes meaning you have to do this step the first time you install this mod. you cant revert back if the load order already grouped.
im sure im the only one but i cant stand this plugin. been using it since it came out, cant take it anymore. all it does that i can see is make things look more confusing and prevent you from moving plugins around freely after loot is ran.
You went to the page of one of the best plugins available for MO2 and said it was useless, what else do you expect? You didn't provide any useful feedback, just a complaint.
This plugin is for people who are prepared to learn how to manage their load order manually, instead of having LOOT do it for them. When you have hundreds, or even over a thousand plugins, LOOT's sorting can sometimes be detrimental and cause more problems than it solves. This plugin gives you the information to be able to overcome that by sorting manually, without having to load up xEdit all the time to see which records conflict with which other plugins.
If you're running LOOT and everything in your game works for you, or you're not prepared to take the time to learn how to optimise you LO manually, then this is not the tool for you. Move on, instead of complaining that it's confusing or doesn't work properly.
If you go and buy a set of power tools, don't bother to learn how they work and which one is the best choice for a particular application, then you have no right to complain when you make a mess of your wall.
Hey, gonna take me a while to learn how to use this properly but I'm hoping it will help me to better manage my LO, rather than trusting LOOT to sort 1300+ plugins reliably.
In the meantime, as a starting point, would it be fairly safe to set the "Ignore conflicts with masters" on anything that's intended to be a patch, or anything whose only masters are the vanilla game ESMs? That would filter out a lot of the red and green highlights to start with, and make it easier to see the wood for the trees.
Thanks for making this awesome tool!
EDIT: could someone maybe link me to a guide for optimal grouping and sorting to help me to get the best results out of this please? Thanks again!

[2024-08-04 12:56:45.318 W] Plugin uses incompatible Qt library (6.7.0) [release]
Actually looks like 2.5.2 was released publicly last night. I'll try.
Edit. 2.5.2 works fine with my version. Make sure you're on latest https://github.com/ModOrganizer2/modorganizer/releases/tag/v2.5.2
Oh I see it. Damn comment threading.

What do I do with this error?
