Changelogs
Version 1.0
Initial release
SkyUI VR introduced a new feature that highlighted the new items in v1.1.0(Oct 2021). The problem is that the feature also changed the sorting behavior of the SkyUI VR. The highlighted items are always sorted to the top. Here is an example of how this basic sorting behavior can annoy the player.
You drink water from a "water skin(3/3)" from iNeed mod.
You get "2/3 water skin" because you drank 1/3 of water.
"2/3 water skin" is identified as a new item by SkyUI VR.
The water skin moves to the top of the item list right after you drink it.
You wanted one more sip of the water so you probably clicked twice.
F***! You just ate some other random item instead because the water skin ran away to the top in the middle of this interaction.
What this mod does is removing the new item attribute from the sorting method in SkyUI VR's config.txt file. The exact same solution was proposed by caboose684 in 2022 but the proper fix has never been implemented because the mod author is not active. This is a simple workaround to avoid the annoyance. This mod is based on SkyUI VR v1.2.2(May 2023).
If you use Dear Diary VR, you do not need this mod because Dear Diary VR is based on the outdated version of SkyUI VR v1.0-beta4(Nov 2018).
