      Wrye Bash, add Names and Deactivate tags to the plugin, rebuild Bashed Patch. No compatibility issues.

      Skypatcher can also rename NPCs without needing to patch for anything or needing a plugin.

    Would you consider making a version that just covers the ones part of a known family and doesn't add the ones inspired by profession or character please?

    Can you give information about which characters' names have changed? Although the logic of the mod has been shared, there is no information about which NPCs it affects.

      Essentially all named and friendly Nord NPCs in the four Eastern Holds have been affected. The only exceptions are Brynjolf and Esbern due to their centrality.

    The mod I've been wanting for a long time. Clans must be pretty important in Skyrim. Well-established clans also had to take up a lot of space. This way you add a little bit of immersion. Do you plan to develop the mod further or support different mods? New location mods or city enhancing mods can benefit greatly from this.

    Nice idea - will try it out when I get home. I noticed in the description you say that NPCs aren't edited directly, making it largely compatible with stuff that touches NPCs in any way?

      Unfortunately not - it's gonna need patches for anything that modifies the affected NPCs and the location entries for their houses, unless NPC Names Distributor could be used instead of making the changes directly to the NPCs' records. In my fairly big load order most of the conflicts are only with USSEP, though I don't use any of those sweeping NPC appearance overhauls.
