Attention!! Please READ!! Hey guys. UPDATE ON ME....With a very heavy heart I am no longer able to do any more modding. I lost total vision in one eye as you may have known and am now loosing it in the other eye. I am at the point I have to use text to speech programs to read things. I HATE IT. I am very sorry for those who are looking forward to further work and updates but it is not possible any more. I had a blast making mods and it was a a very rewarding experience. I will continue to keep my mods available for use. As for the Mods I have PORTED, any further work and updates will have to be by the Original Author if they with to do so. If there is anyone who would like to take the reins of my work and continue to further what my Dream was for the Dark Skyrim Overhaul series, please contact me for further information. Sorry I haven't been working on my mods for a while. About a month ago, I lost my vision in my right eye. I developed a Retinal Vein Occlusions. What that means is there is a blockage in the main vein in the Optic Nerve and its causing the blood vessels in the retina to burst causing the loss of vision. It is usually caused by high blood pressure or high cholesterol. But, I am healthy, have good blood pressure, don't have high cholesterol, I workout with a personal trainer 3 to 4 times a week and eat a pretty clean healthy balanced diet. The doctors are confused and have no answers yet since I am 41 and healthy. It could be hereditary (Thanks Dad). I am now going to see a hematologist to see if there is anything else wrong with my blood such as a possible high clotting factor which could cause the blockage and stroke in my eye. I also have to get eye injections (OUCH OUCH OUCH) every few weeks to try to get rid of the swelling in my retina, prevent retinal detachment and help speed up healing. It will probably take a many injections and up to a few months before I see any results. I just hope the damage is not permanent. So, as of right now, I can only see out of my left eye. Its pretty hard to adjust and function because it's my non-dominant eye. But I am learning to adapt.
As far as the mods go, I was in the middle of a project involving a retex of all the foods and ingredients that are in bowls such as soups, salts, and so on. I will do my best to work on it and try to finish it as best I can. It is hard to focus and see clearly with just one eye. The project will just be delayed a bit now. Sorry folks. I'm doing my best.
I appreciate everyone for giving my textures a try. Thank you for all the comments and endorsements. My work is not finished. I will not give up. I will find a way to keep modding. I enjoy this work and enjoy being a part of the community.
I rarely comment on these mods but, you have my sympathies my man. I know exactly what it feels like to have your life flipped sideways by something out of your control and you can't fix. As s#*! as it is, I will promise you mate that this ain't the end of the road. Keep pushin' forward, and keep on keepin' on brother.
Not really. SMIM folder structure is different with the use of some of its meshes and ESP. I believe that SMIM will have priority. So you will need to disable some of the SMIM options to get some of the items to work......Unless someone makes a patch to make some of these textures apply to the SMIM meshes.
Hope things are going okay for you. My mother has something similar and has to get eye injections every week. It's got to be hard for you to deal with and I hope you focus on yourself to get as good as you can! Thank you for all your work!
