does this fix the bug where miraak would turn into skeleton but instantly re equip his items again after dying? (I can't loot him and I'm getting a message "this person is busy")
That might be the one, yeah. I don't know about him instantly re-equipping items. But definitely, the bug this fixes did involve him turning into a skeleton, and being unable to loot him with exactly that message being printed.
Yep after turning into skeleton the skeleton will instantly switch back to wearing his items, I'm also experiencing a bug at the same time where interacting the book used to go back to solstheim would just autosave the game instead of transporting me to solstheim.
Could you fix, much severe bug.. when Miraak boss fight is not progressing? Because player absorbs dragon souls from Miraaks dragon kills.. which are supposed to be targeted to Miraak not player character? I cant say if its vanilla Skyrim Steam version, or SKSE bug.. im not using unofficial patch, but it makes Miraak unkillable, without scripting..
If I recall correctly, that was likely related to Dragon Combat Overhaul or some similar mod. I know what you're talking about, I had it happen many years ago too. But not in my last playthrough, in which I actually repeated the fight dozens of times (for playtesting this mod on the page we're on right now).
Just want to let you know that you can patch this with SkyPatcher too, so you don't need an espfe plugin. Here's the patch string that i've tested to be working : filterBySpells=Dragonborn.esm|354C3:setFlags=ignoreresistance,noabsorb
Edits literally only a single record too, and that record is an extremely specific record: a spell that is literally named something like "DLC2KillMiraakSpell", which is only used a single time in the entire game for a single person and that is killing Miraak at the appropriate time. So, extremely low chances of ever conflicting with anything.
Well, if I understand that other mod correctly, it gives you an alternative path to making him a follower, but technically you could just still kill him anyway. I guess it's technically possible that some users might install that other mod but still intend to kill him anyway (e.g., if they've obtained that other mod through a larger modlist but don't actually care about it, or if they use the same load order for multiple different characters, and only want to make Miraak a follower on some of them).
