Description

Gheed the Gambler is a mod that brings the popular character and his gambling mechanic from the Diablo franchise of games to Skyrim.

Gheed can be located in the wilderness to the south of Dragon Bridge, west of Morthal. He may have a favor to ask the player in order to use his unique service.




Gambling
If you've played Diablo II, you're probably familiar with the sly merchant from the Rogue Encampment, Gheed.  More than just a gold sink, this mod gives you a magical item with each purchase with a chance of obtaining a unique relic. The cost in gold may be high, but the rewards could be great!



Items
Here is a list of the unique items you can obtain from Gheed by gambling.

Axe of Fechmar - 50% chance to slow enemies by 25% for 5 seconds, +50% Frost Resist.
Bane Ash - Enchanted with a 25 point Firebolt spell, +50% Fire Resist, +60 Magicka.
Biggin's Bonnet - +30% base damage with bows, +15 to Archery Skill, +15 to Stamina, +15 to Magicka.
Blinkbat's Form - Resist 50% damage from arrows, +40% to Stagger Resist, +25% to Movement Speed.
Bloodfist - Adds 5 to melee attack damage, +20 to Health, +10% to Stagger opponents, +30% to Stagger Resist.
Centurian - Adds 25% to Stamina Recovery, +30 to Health, +30 to Stamina, +30 to Magicka, +20 to One Handed Skill.
Chance Guards - Detect Life 60', +10 to Heavy Armor Skill, Merchant prices are 20% cheaper, +20% to Resist Critical Hits.
Crushflange - 25% chance to Knockback opponents on a Power Attack, +50% Fire Resist, +15 to One Handed Skill, +33% Chance to Stagger opponents.
Duskdeep - Incoming Melee Attack damage reduced by 10%, Adds 5 to Melee Attack Damage, +15% to all resistances.
Felloak - 25% chance to Knockback opponents on a Power Attack, Adds 5 Fire Damage per hit, +20% Fire Resist, +60% Shock Resist.
Gorefoot - +20% to Running Speed, Base Jump Height increased by 50%.
Grayform - +25% to Fire Resist, +25% to Frost Resist, +10% Magic Resist, +25 to Magicka.
Manald Heal - +40 to Health, +40% Health Regeneration, +40% Magicka Regeneration.
Nokozan Relic - Detect Life 60', +20% to Stagger Resist, +50% Fire Resist.
Pelta Lunata - Blocking is 40% more effective, +10 to Block Skill, +15 to Health, +15 to Stamina, +15 to Magicka.
Pluckeye - Attacks Siphon 10 Stamina per hit, +15 to Archery Skill, +20 Health.
Rixot's Keen - 50% chance per hit to cause 10 Bleeding Damage for 5 seconds, +10 to One Handed Skill, +33% Increased Critical Chance.
Shadowfang - Siphons 20 points of Health & Stamina per hit, Adds 10 Frost Damage per hit.
Stormguild - 15 Point Shock Cloak while blocking, +15 to Block Skill, +15% Magic Resist, +25% Shock Resist.
The Diggler - Ignores 50% of targets Armor Rating, +25% to Fire Resist, +25% to Frost Resist, +10 to One Handed skill.
The Face of Horror - +25% Damage to Undead, +25% Chance to Intimidate, +10% to all Resistance.
The Gnasher - 50% chance per hit to cause 10 Bleeding Damage for 5 seconds, +10 to One Handed Skill, +20% Chance to Stagger opponents.
Treads of Cthon - Resist 50% Damage from Arrows, Adds +50% Stamina Recovery, +20 Health, +30% to Movement Speed.


This is the first Tier of items.  More powerful Tiers will be added in the future.

Future Plans
These are a few things I'd like to do with the mod if time permits and there is enough interest:

  • Give Gheed a more unique appearance
  • Record voice tracks for Gheed's dialogue
  • Create higher level unique items based on the more powerful items in the Diablo II game.
  • Integrate items from another mod of mine, SirJesto's Item Sets. Done in v0.6b
