About this mod
Skills that aren't one of a race's major skills will only level to 75 (major race skills are ones that receive a bonus at character creation).
Compatible with custom race mods.

This is a minimalist mod that aims to encourage character planning by adding late-game consequences to an early-game decision. A new character is REQUIRED. Custom races are (ostensbily) supported, major skills are detected dynamically after completing character customization. The mod is also compatible with most alternate start mods; it has been tested with Dime's Quick Start and Live Another Life successfully.
It's a port of my bethesdanet releases. But screw bethesdanet, here it is for nexus users.
Vanilla skills for each race are as follows, though the mod will also work with others that change races' major skills:
Argonian - Lockpicking, Alteration, Light Armor, Pickpocket, Restoration, and SneakKhajiit - Sneak, Alchemy, Archery, Lockpicking, Pickpocket, and One Handed
Nord - Two Handed, One Handed, Block, Light Armor, Smithing, and Speech
Redguard - One Handed, Block, Archery, Smithing, Alteration, and Destruction
Imperial - Block, One Handed, Heavy Armor, Enchanting, Destruction, and Restoration
Breton - Conjuration, Restoration, Illusion, Alteration, Speech, and Alchemy
Orc - Block, One Handed, Two Handed, Heavy Armor, Smithing, and Enchanting
Wood Elf - Archery, Alchemy, Light Armor, Lockpicking, Pickpocket, and Sneak
High Elf - Illusion, Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Restoration, and Enchanting
Dark Elf - Destruction, Alchemy, Alteration, Illusion, Light Armor, and Sneak

Characters in Skyrim always bottleneck into the same demi-aedra savant because there's nothing keeping you from becoming a master in every skill. Well, not any more.
On a surface level, this mod may appear to only limit what perks you can take, but capping a skill at 75 has a larger fallout than that. Because minor skills can never reach 100, they can never be made legendary, which means the majority of late-game leveling will be centered around your major skills.
For instance, if your character is an argonian, you wouldn't be able to grind alchemy longterm because it can never be made legendary. Levels in the late game could only come from major skills (in this case lockpicking, alteration, pickpocket, sneak, light armor, or restoration).
NOTE REGARDING THE ADVSKILL CONSOLE COMMAND:
the mod doesn't affect advskill, so you can still level to 100 using this console command, even if the skill isn't a race skill, as long as the skill is less than 75 when you use it.
