Adds 20 Radiant-enabled dungeons to various holds throughout Skyrim.

Lost Passages - New Dungeons for Skyrim adds 20 small to medium-sized dungeons to Skyrim. Each dungeon is Radiant-enabled, meaning they have a chance to be selected for quests like Bounty Quests, Companions Quests, Ancient Technology, "find the Moon Amulet", "fetch a book for the College", "find Lisbet's Statue of Dibella", "find Runil's Journal", House of Horrors, Shalidor's Insights, etc. Also works with Missives.

All dungeons have a boss with a boss chest, and some have secret areas with an additional boss. Each dungeon is navmeshed, so bring your follower(s). The more complex dungeons are roombound and portaled, so there shouldn't be any performance or lighting issues.

The dungeons and their locations are listed below for anyone who doesn't want to wait for them to show up in a quest.


    Whiterun
  • Candlestone Barrow - on the river along the road to Valtheim Towers, just below the Ritual Stone
  • Rat Hill Mine - off the road just west of Fort Greymoor

    The Rift
  • The Ironhold - nestled into the snowy peaks just NE of Riften
  • Needle Canyon - east on the road from Riften, near the gate to Morrowind
  • Moonshade Grotto - near Clearspring Tarn

    The Reach
  • Trollstep Pass - main entry is just off the road past the bridge out of Markarth
  • Chiseled Rock Redoubt - Forsworn Camp just W of Dushnikh Yal

    Eastmarch
  • Windhelm Catacombs - door is in the Windhelm Hall of the Dead
  • The Undercroft - door is at the bottom of the stairs leading into Windhelm's Gray Quarter
  • Agursul - in the Nordic Ruin steam pools just west of Witchmist Grove

    The Pale
  • The Udynvald Excavation - just West of Duskglow Crevice
  • Frosthollow Cave - on an island right off the northern coast, just NE of Dawnstar
  • Uda's Call - on the beach just past Frosthollow Cave

    Falkreath
  • Mzarand Causeway and Mzarand Steamworks - on a snowy cliff above Angi's Camp in Falkreath Hold
  • Vyrdenskal - Just west of the burning carriage in Falkreath Hold

    Haafingar
  • Hrathdun's Hideout - just east of the Stormcloak Camp near Dragon Bridge
  • Grimfang Burrow - near the Steed Stone

    Winterhold
  • Hruksvar - just SE of Winterhold at the bottom of the glacier
  • Bonecrack Run - in the valley in between Azura's Shrine and Winterhold

Trollstep Pass and Moonshade Grotto are min level 12, the rest are the standard min level 6.

Both Vyrdenskal and the Windhelm Catacombs have secret doors that lead to an additional boss. The Ironhold has a secret door to some additional loot. Hruksvar has a semi-secret pull-handle that opens a portcullis to a second boss. Bonecrack Run has a hidden vampire lair.

NOTES

IMPORTANT NOTE - if you're running an older version of Skyrim (pre-1130 from the Dec 2023 update), you'll need to install Backported Extended ESL Support for this to work (for a VR version check here). This should allow you to use any mods created with the Creation Kit after the Dec update. If you updated Skyrim in Dec 2023 to the current version you won't need to install this, new mods will just work "out of the box".

You should be able to install this on an existing playthrough, just be aware that Skyrim can be unpredictably twitchy about new content introduced mid-game.

  • Rat Hill Mine overlaps with the Castle Valdmire player home cave
  • Needle Canyon overlaps with Gromm's Pass from the Goblins content from Creation Club Fixed
  • Candlestone Barrow overlaps with Graywinter Patch available on the Graywinter page
