"I'm not telling where the unchosen reward will appear, as I want it to be a treasure hunt."

If you want to cheat, just use the console

But a treasure hunt has a map with hints & clues. Without the map or clues to follow it's just random wandering instead of an adventure to find treasure.

Thanks for the mod! Now i will pay a visit to Falkreath's Jarl & Calixto's house to hunt down the items. I really love this mod so keep up work. This is Excellent!

are you saying the jarl has it on him or the item is in the jarls house?

I'm going to be doing Falkreath quests and such in my current playthrough rather soon.

Question: Is there at least a hint as to where the second, unchosen item will appear? I'm not asking to ruin the surprise, as I enjoy treasure hunts, but... having no idea where to go makes it unnecessarily difficult, I feel. Still, this is great series of mods for grabbing mutually exclusive quest rewards.

    Comment Completly Edited:
For you, who don't have the will to find it by yourself. Run the mod through SSEEdit to see the "locations"

but i found a slight issue. I finished the quest to get the Mask, then i went to look for the Axe (in the exact place it spawns).
Well it spawned... underground. I mean under the place it should be. I mean i had to use command tcl to even be able to STEAL it. Was it intended to be stolen or picked up in the first place? I've run the mod through CK but there it's all fine. The Axe is where it should've been, but not in my case in the game though. I moved the Z possition a bit up and gonna check how did it affect the placing. Gonna comment below if that actually helped or not, if so i'll post the Z number i've made to make it work perfectly.

As promised. After changing Z position from 16 to 21 the weapon is placed as it should be (not underground, but right below the spot the mod author intended). You can change it either via editing .esp in SSEEdit or in CK, both worked for me

You sure you didn't have another mod or meshes editing the "location"?

yes, i'm certainly sure, since first i used xEdit to track the item (and found 0 changes to the cell), then i checked it exact location in the CK (which showed me that item is placed correctly, but it wasn't in my game). Possibly some script issues might've moved the Rueful Axe, but idk how would i even check that. So yeah, by moving the Z axis a bit up, i got it placed as mod author intended

You should do it for the Hunt daedric quest too, and I guess any other quest that gives you two reward options... Azura and Black star, etc.

I already did it for Hircine's quest, and for Cidhna Mine. I don't think I'll do it for Azura's quest though, but only because Azura's Star and the Black Star are technically the same item. Are there any I forgot about?

In your current playthrough, you'll have to console the other one in, as the unchosen one is enabled by the quest script. You could go back to a save from before you completed the quest if you wanted though.
