Started at lvl 13, finished at lvl 20. The bosses were hard, but not insurmountable. Loved the different easter eggs around the island, you actually managed to jump-scare me at one point in the castle
All-in-all, a very well made expansion/quest mod. Thank you JK and everyone who had a hand in this
To reduce the weight of my load order, I chose this heavy one to disable. Maybe when I have played through a lot of other new lands, I will disable them, and enable Darkend.
The ideal solution would be for Darkend to be offered as an ESM. This should have never been an ESP. In the reddit link I provided, the examples given have all changed to ESM, as this should.
Thank you very much for making such a torturous mod. The numerical design of the monsters in it is a disaster. My character has 800 points of armor, and I am playing on hard difficulty, but I will still be killed by an elite who shoots bows and arrows by one shot.
Aside from a bit of jank related CTDs and those tiny spiral stairs, this mod was great... except (EXCEPT!!) the Old King Shadow fight. Like, seriously? WTF? Having a boss that uses unblockable one-hit-kill attacks as their main attack is awful design. None of the actual Soulsbourne titles had fights that cheap or terribly designed. They were hard, but they were also fair.
Love this Mod, but I think it's about time for a Remaster I've cleared everything on the map, and I want to do it again it may take some time to make new ideas for this new land add stuff like easter egg references or add new world space, no doubt it took time and peoples efforts just to make 1.4GB content, it may be stretch to ask for remake but with all the new resources add to the game it's too good not think about it, 2018 was the last update for the Mod and the people who helped have moved on but I hope one day, Darkend will get some modern sunshine it deserves.
There's absolutely nothing in this mod that's worth all the hype, it takes every WRONG lesson from Dark Souls somehow. There's almost no story or context, the enemies are just sponges soaking up damage for no reason, everything is so fuckin dark at all times, and there's not a single hint as to what you're supposed to do to the point its just obnoxious

But, I loved the mod otherwise :)
