For all of those who marry in Skyrim, most of us will find The Bond of Matrimony ring's enchantment underwhelming compared to other enchanted rings, yet a small sense of guilt always comes with taking it off or just not wearing it at all. Now however, you can upgrade the ring and make it much more useful to wear!

Upgradable Bond of Matrimony

For me, The Bond of Matrimony has always been the most semimetal ring in the game...yet simultaneously the least useful enchanted ring in the game. Making restoration spells 10% less to cast is not very useful in almost any character build. Yet as someone who loves to get immersed into my Skyrim experience, I feel an odd guilt taking it off and stuffing into a chest, never to be touched again the moment I find any other old ring with a better enchantment. My solution to this was to make the ring upgradable, so I can happily keep my wedding ring on my character without the trade-off of wasting the potential of my character or spouse's ring slot.
The Bond of Matrimony can be upgraded three times, adding new effects and upgrading their power with each new version. I kept the restoration theme of the ring while adding effects that are still immersive but can assist any character build, even if they don't use restoration magic.
The new rings and their enchantments are as follows:
The Lovely Bond of Matrimony
Restoration Spells cost 15% less to cast
Restoration Spells are 15% more powerful
Health regenerates 15% faster
Resist 5% of magic damage
Crafting:
The Bond of Matrimony, Flawless Sapphire
The Radiant Bond of Matrimony
Restoration Spells cost 20% less to cast
Restoration Spells are 20% more powerful
Health regenerates 20% faster
Resist 10% of magic damage
Crafting:
The Lovely Bond of Matrimony, Flawless Emerald
The Eternal Bond of Matrimony
Restoration Spells cost 25% less to cast
Restoration Spells are 25% more powerful
Health regenerates 25% faster
Resist 15% of magic damage
Crafting:
The Radiant Bond of Matrimony, Flawless Diamond
All rings can be crafted at any forge.
Additionally, this mod makes zero changes to any vanilla assets including the original Bond of Matrimony ring so it should be compatible with everything. However anyone and everyone is free to make and upload patches if there somehow is a conflict or you just want to adjust the enchantments :)
