    I'm releasing a new update for Aurlyn soon and since I have a new mount script that actually works correctly this time I'll be adding a mount for Virelda. If you want input on the mount then here's your chance to get your two cents in. If you want a specific mount then provide a link. It must be permission free and allowed to be uploaded to other sites. If you want other features added or tweaks then mention it here.

    Her helmet won't come off. How do you fix that?

      "Lets discuss battle strategy/Remove armor". It's all or nothing. There was too much trouble with selective armor removal. If the helmet won't come off with that command then that's a bug. Also are you talking about the helmet or the face mask?

      There aren't any further plans to enhance Virelda. If a new update were to be released it'd be for a mount and/or marriage. Nothing as extensive as changing her into a quest follower.

      So are there any plans to add those two elements, they would be awesome, I just discovered this mod, after the other mysterious Elf, Aurlyn, proved so awesome, but I will hold off if there's likely those two significant improvements coming

      No there aren't any plans. That's why I said "if". Adding a custom mount is a single day process. Adding marriage is more complicated mostly due to trying to hunt down the original VA. I'm focused on a updating Aurlyn and releasing an ME3 mod I've been sitting on for a few years now.

    I literally just met her after installing her ages ago and totally forgot about her, lol

    But I cannot progress past the very first conversation, you say you boosted the audio but I still have to crank up my speakers literally to maximum to hear her, and I still can't understand half of what she is saying (and I'm a native English speaker).

    Seriously you need to literally double the volume. I'm going to unpack the files and use Audacity to do it myself, but for others... yeah.

    Just giving my first impressions before I "really" start using this mod. Cheers.

      I'm not looking at the my old source files. If I recall from memory you could barely hear the songs and the overall volume was too low. After using a tool to normalize the entire catalog some of the dialogue became too loud thus creating a wider spectrum between highs and lows. So I opted to use a minor audio boost and selectively boosted up the unhearable songs to a much higher level. Since I'm reviewing the SR mods I created or assisted on I might look this over again. I'll check the headphone and on-board audio again. You seem to be the only one to have reported to still have a problem with audio still being subpar.

    found the temple .. She is not there , saw a video that she was supposed to be at her bedroll but nothing .. Waited 48 hours 2 days , tried summoning her with the spell .. Nothing she just isn't there..

      Same for me. Here's a quick fix that worked for me.

      I took the closest semi-unique item I could find (JC's Flagon, which was right next to the book to go back to Solsteim).

      Opened the console and used this formula:

      playerenchantobject Item_ID# MGEF_ID_1 MGEF_ID_2

      I used the help command to find the itemID for JC's flagon and the MGEF (magic effect) to enchant an item to summon her. So, in my case, my console entry turned out to be:

      playerenchantobject ba02f85b ba0952f1

      [I left the second enchantment blank]

      I went to my items and selected use for JC's Flagon and she appeared.

      Hope this helps someone. PM me if I didn't explain clearly enough.

    Just wondering... will there also be an alternate face for the SE version?
    From what I've seen in screenshots, her vanilla face looks fine... but I do like the unique appearance of the alt face. Damn.. you got my hopes up when I saw the notification, and then I noticed that although the file is posted in SSE, it's actually for Classic.

    Rather than posting a new comment, I decided to just edit this one.
    I'e installed Virelda, and so far I really like her. She has a pleasant, low key, personality, is intelligent, and even though she can be a bit quiet at times, she has an attractive voice. She also has an interesting story. It's nice that there is another female companion for Skyrim who isn't a bubblehead, or irritating.

    Just a few points I have noticed:

    She is extremely powerful, perhaps too much so. My character was around level 30 when I installed her, so it wasn't a case of making the early levels of the game too easy. However, I do recognise that this can be a problem for modders when they create a character with a well developed past, and in many cases it wouldn't make sense for the character to be weak. I'm not sure what the solution is.

    Sometimes when talking with Virelda, her voice becomes very quiet, and her written text simply stops appearing.

    In my game, she initially appeared in her robes. At some point she switched to the armour, and has not taken it off. At about the same time, she no longer had much to sell, and her gold amount went down to zero. I'm not overly fussed about either of these; she can wear what she wants as far as I'm concerned, and from what I saw the items she was selling seemed a bit on the potent side. She also had a *a lot* of gold. So these are features I probably wouldn't be using anyway, but I thought I should report my experience.

      The armor is set to Non-Playable. However, this can be fixed using SSE Edit via removing the Non-Playable flag from Virelda's equipment. Her weapons are also set to Non-Playable, which is a shame since they cannot be tempered at a forge. Non-temperable weapons/armor are a no-go for me since I play with mods that make the game more difficult even on Novice difficulty.

      Her armor set isn't meant to be playable. A dialog option has been added to allow players to disrobe her. Weapons are temperable. She can now be given tempered armor or the player can give her the player-version of the custom armor. Her spells cost mana now and she should use those less often as her pool drains. This may be less true at higher levels. I guess I could've changed the gold but honestly it's wasn't on the radar of things that needed fixing especially considering how broken the main game is (vendors being allowed to be your follower but their gold and inventory resets without you releasing them, being able to "steal" gold from your vendor/trainers). Most people probably only use her to sell their useless inventory after a dungeon run.

      Good to know there's an option for the player to disrobe Virelda via dialog now. Will the Alternate Face be made available at some point down the road a la Aurlyn/Serenity? Also glad to hear of the added weapon tempering.

      I cannot remove the Tribunal Robes no matter what I do. Even the new dialog topic doesn't remove the robes.
