    OK new here. I have used BS to fit outfits and to make bodies but I have yet to delve into using the outfit Studio so I have what must be a truly newb question. I want to know how you got a head in the work area? I can get the tongue but have no frame of reference.
    Thanks

    How do you get the head mesh to show up in bodyslide?

      <BASIC PROCEDURE>
      (1) In game, open RaceMenu (e.g., type "showracemenu" without quotes in the console). (There's probably a similar mechannic in ECE).
      (2) Go to the Sculpt tab and choose to export the current head to a NIF file. Give the file an easy to remember name.
      (3) In Bodyslide, select the tongue you wish to modify.
      (4) Choose to edit the tongue in Outfit Studio.

      Follow either the 'a' path or 'b' path, not both.

      (5a) In Outfit Studio, goto File-->Import-->From NIF
      (6a) Select the exported head NIF file. It should be located in Data\SKSE\Plugins\Chargen. (jump to 11)
      (5b) Or you can goto File-->Load Reference
      (6) Choose to load a reference from file.
      (7) Select the exported head NIF file. It should be located in Data\SKSE\Plugins\Chargen.
      (8) From the shape dropdown menu, choose the head shape.
      (9) Make sure to select the option to merge sliders.
      (10) Hit OK.
      (11) Perform your edits to the tongue sliders.
      (12a) Export the slider set by going to Slider-->Save Preset.
      (13a) In BodySlide, refresh outfit list.
      (14a) Select your new slider from the slider list.
      (15a) Select your tongue and build. You are done.
      (12b) Save the mesh edits directly to a new mesh project file.
      (13b) Commit the edits them by setting the base shape.
      (14b) Make sure to delete the head NIF before saving the project.
      (15b) Save the current project as a new project.
      (16b) In BodySlide, refresh outfit list.
      (17b) Select your new tongue and build. You are done.

      <RESULTS>
      In my experience, tongue position in game may still be slightly off from what you see in Outift Studio. I ended up setting Tongue Back to 20% and Tongue Up to 60%. These will vary depending on how big/small you make the tongue and your character's mouth position, .

      <FINE-TUNING>
      You can also fine-tune tongue position by equipping a Halos tongue in game, noting the position, alt-tabbing to BodySlide/Outfit Studio, making small adjustments, alt-tabbing back into game and unequipping->reequipping the tongue. I follow the same procedure anytime I need to edit any kind of worn mesh, like armor, jewelry, etc.

      Hmm... whenever I get to the part where I hit okay after "merge sliders" the program terminates. Any thoughts?

      My initial guess would be a version conflict. I am using RaceMenu 0.4.16 and Bodyslide/Outfit Studio 5.6.3.

      Also, you can try to simply import the head NIF, rather than loading it as a reference. That's probably the better approach. I'll update the workflow to suggest that technique.

      thank you, i followed this instruction, saved preset and project in OS and built in BS.
      But it's still not the same as the position I adjusted in OS.
      weird
      anyway, your steps helped me a lot, thank you again.

      By now you've probably figured this out, but after saving a project in outfit studio you need to refresh your sliders in body slide first before you can build. In the search drop-down there's an option to refresh.

      EDIT: Make sure you are equipping the correct tongue. Unfortunately, Halos tongues from tongues.esp do not show up in the inventory. To equip the tongue, type into console (without quotes) "player.equipitem lingaaXarmor" where X is an integer from 1-10. To unequip type "player.unequipitem lingaaXarmor".

    Hello, your preview image looks amazing! May I ask how you achieved the red makeup around the eyes? Was it done with BWA or a makeup pack?

    Is this version compatible with the tongues in OStim, and if not, could you make a version that is? Would be much appreciated!

    is it purely for screenshots, or does it replace the vanilla language itself during the game?
