Portable Oculus Equipment Transfer device enables the player to store things and equipment in containers and get them back from anywhere in the game. It has a way to sort things and a way to sort things based on recipes for making potions. Players can also change the names of containers, which lets them organize their storage in any player home.

Portable Oculus Equipment Transfer device, A.K.A. POET.

It's categorized as a key which has no weight and cannot be accidentally dropped. Also, it does have some humor embedded into it, just in case you loose it or have it taken away from you; just save and relaunch the game and bingo, you got it back along with a humorous message.

Its features include remote storage and retrieval of items in various containers found anywhere in-world, renaming of said targeted containers, a sorting system that segregates items into those containers, as well as a recipe sorting system useful for potion making and smelting. It also comes with an incinerator for trash items.

This device can even be utilized to store, retrieve and sort objects into any type of player home container(s) no matter where you are in Skyrim or beyond, whether it is a standard or personalized one. That is, provided that the containers within that residence do not undergo a respawn. Due to the risk of losing objects stored in resetting containers, All player homes I have discovered in my adventures with containers do not respawn. POET is designed to identify hazardous containers and prevent their attachment to the system, thereby assisting you in selecting reliable and secure containers to add to the network.

This is an advanced stand-alone version of the POET than the one incorporated into both my TARDIS and Mystery Hatch mods; it has way more features. With that in mind, although you should be able to have both this and either one of those mods installed without issue, if conflicts do arise though ( rather unlikely ), then I would suggest that you not install it.

Do note that you need a new game with this, otherwise the system will fail to function as expected. Sorry, but it needs an official initialization that can only be achieved on a new game start.

 Note On Respawning Containers:

My system is programed to detect a container that respawns by comparing that container with its base model in Skyrim's data base. Since most mods make use of these base containers for their own use, the POET will still be able to know that container is unsafe.

However, certain mod authors have the ability to construct entirely new foundational structures that can potentially bypass such detection. While the POET
does evaluate additional criteria that a possible container must satisfy, it is not completely foolproof. Hence, it is imperative to exercise additional prudence while incorporating a container discovered within a dungeon by such mod author.

Naturally, if you are able to establish a connection with a respawning container, it will not prevent you from extracting resources from that unit each time it
respawns. In my opinion, while this deceptive act may be somewhat dishonest, I am uncertain if it can be classified definitively as cheating. The act of constructing an oculus gateway within said container is a clever method for a cunning burglar to sustain himself  - you see.

P.S.

If you do successfully manage establish an oculus within respawning container for your thieving activities, kindly designate that container as a CUSTOM container in the POET custom container menu, this way it will prevent the sorting system from mistakenly sending goods to it. Ultimately, a thief arrives with the intention of making a withdrawal, not a deposit; unless of course you are a naughty male thief, but the POET does not add adult content.
