About this mod

Overhauls the appearance of Karna and Bacchus from Mythos/ezPG by Craftian, using CotR assets.

Fun fact: 95% of the time spent making this mod went towards fixing neckseams. istg.

Overhauls the appearance of Karna and Bacchus from Craftian's Mythos (both the standalone and AiO ezPG version) using CotR assets. Standalone body textures (using Fair Skin and Vitruvia), but body meshes will use whatever replacer you have installed (or vanilla) for simplicity's sake.

Main files are UNP and vanilla males. There's an optional CBBE patch for those using CBEE/3BA bodies. HIMBO is not supported though, sorry. (Note: If you're a noob to Skyrim modding, this doesn't mean the game will crash or anything--it's just texture mismatch. You can use HIMBO with this, just don't dress Bacchus in anything skimpy.)

Speaking of texture mismatch: I've done all I can to minimize it, but the way CotR maps their male face textures (heck, even the female face textures), there's still *some* form of neackseam if you have a sharp eye and zoom in really really close. Nothing I can do about it. Your ENB/Reshade/in-game Skyrim ambient occlusion settings might make this more noticeable under certain lighting as well.

Only the ezPG version has been tested extensively. Standalone Mythos version is untested, but there's no reason it wouldn't work (their base ID is literally the same). Let me know if I'm wrong though, feel free to yell at me if there's some game-breaking bug I managed to miss.

For Mythos/ezPG latest version. (considering Craftian no longer seems to be updating the two mods, you should be good to go.)

Questions someone will probably ask in the future:

- I don't like this, I don't like that. Too unlore-friendly, strays too far from their original design, whathaveyou. Don't use this mod then.

- I don't like their hair! It clips everywhere! Yeah, I feel you, and am too lazy to make different hair options with fancy fomods like some other modders do. Just use a hair wig I guess.

- Karna and Bacchus seem to be stronger combat-wise with this replacer. Did you add any perks/spells? Yes, though nothing too overpowered. They also have Lightfoot now. Bacchus has some Apprentice-leveled Destruction spells + Fast Healing; if you want to add more you can probably do it through console commands, or edit the NPC record within the esp. I suggest don't give him stuff like Chain Lightning/Fireball/Ice Storm to minimize friendly fire with Karna.

- Can you change their body textures to something else? Can you give them standalone body meshes? No. There's a CBBE/3BA patch for Karna, and that's the furthest I can do when it comes to supporting different body types. I use vanilla myself.

- There's a neckseam! READ THE DESCRIPTION AGAIN.

- There's a neck gap! There shouldn't be any. I didn't change their weights (also if you play vanilla, certain vanilla armors come with pre-built neckgap! Like the bandit/fur armor with shawl, the one Karna starts out in. Make of that information what you will.)

- Black face bug! As with any NPC replacer, make sure you've installed everything correctly. Reinstall if you're not sure. Pull the esp to the very last of your load order as a last resort. Make sure you didn't accidentally overwrite any facegen files from this mod with any other mod that overhauls Karna and/or Bacchus, or the original ezPG/Mythos files (keep this in mind if you do manual installation).

Note: If you're experiencing black face bug, DO NOT USE Face Discoloration Fix (their heads will turn invisible). This is because I didn't actually include any assets from Holiday Gift Hairdos or Charmers of the Reach, only the tri files. Don't mess with their head morphs in CK either--I use Racemenu to sculpt their faces, not the in-game sliders. If you get black face bug on any of these NPCs, sort out your load order.

- Do I need to install CotR for this to work? No.

- ESL-ified? Yes.

- Can I add my own screenshots? Sure, just keep them SFW.

- Bacchus' horn textures are pixellated. It uses whatever textures you have installed for Dremora hairs/horns.

- Karna's hair textures have black seams on them. I noticed that. Nothing I can do about it (re-making normal maps for anything other than faces is not my forte). Justdealwithitiguess.

- Can you make a version without warpaint? No. Do it yourself, pretty sure there's a tutorial for that somewhere.

- Can you expand this mod to Craftian's other followers and/or every single NPC from ezPG? Hard no for every single NPC, but for Nessa and Eris--I'll think about it. There are already much better replacers out there for them though (and you can patch them to work with ezPG with a little SSEEdit know-how).

On the other hand, there's not that many replacers for Mythos' followers (been using Pandorable's for a while and they're GREAT, can recommend) which is why I do this one first.

- Can I have them as Racemenu presets? No (this is not me being stingy; if I make them into Racemenu presets they won't look like in the screenshots. Most of what makes their face work are the face textures, not sculpt.)

Technical details: Face and body textures saved with BC7 compression. Everything else saved with BC3.
Diffuse textures for eyes are standalone, the rest (normal, cubemap) use your installed textures. In my screenshots, I'm using BnP - Eye Overhaul.
Known issue: The aforementioned neck seam problem.
The followers are changed from default vanilla races to custom unplayable races to get the new headparts to work. Any mod that affects vanilla race records (Racial Body Morphs, etc) will no longer work for them. They'll use whatever body mesh replacer you have installed (or vanilla).
