   Thank you all for your comments, really helped a lot in finding the right inscriptions.

   Thought about this text, but the problem here is that the brothers were banned after they killed Gauldur, who they killed to get their hands on his amulet. So the amulet (and it's inscription) was already there. Besides that it's power and the fact that it was owned by Gauldur, there isn't really much I could find. So I'm searching for a believable source of this power.

   liked the idea to add some dragon words on the staff, go with 'Lah/Strun/Krii' Magicka/Storm/Kill will be placed on three rings on the staff. For the amulet, I like the idea more to have it just physically changed, because the three didn't have the strength to form their own amulets, so they shouldn't be able to change the inscription (I'm into the 'will and word' idea of magic, so the inscription is a source of magic for the amulet)

   Shamelessly used 'The power of Aetherius is not for the weak to wield' for the side of the staff, liked the idea to focus on the storm effect of it and filled the rest of it with parts a poem by Paul Laurence Dunbar (The Rising of the Storm)

   Maybe some dragon runes on the pieces e.g.:

   reason for the suggestion: the three brothers got consumed/cursed from the power of the amulet and after the fight it gets reforged by Gauldur

   The Staff of Jyrik Gauldurson is a Destruction Staff that heavily affects magicka, and Jyrik himself can channel the power of the Eye of Magnus. His fragment of the amulet have the "+30 Magicka" part of the enchantment. The lore says that he killed ten wizards before being defeated. He can use shouts in the battle against the dragonborn.
   
   I dont know about the amulet, but the staff can hold an inscription with the Words  "Qo"  (Lightning) "Strun"  (Storm) "Du" (Devour) "Lah"  (Magicka) and some flavor text in english, like "The power of Aetherius is not for the weak to wield".

   Just check the writ of sealing content you're supposed to find in this quest, perhaps it'll give you inspiration :
   
   "Be bound here, (Mikrul, Sigdis or Jyrik), murderer, betrayer

   And the charm which you bear be sealed by our ward."
   
   There's also a journal and notes from Daynas Valen. It wouldn't be hard to find something useful with all of this lore !
