Looks nice. Good color, but it looks a little grey for the surrounding soil and too dark for the gravel. Is that too OCD? Yeah, that's too OCD. Like I said, looking good!

That's good input. Since my monitor died, I got a approximately 12 year old tv as monitor.
And its color, if you can call that, are terrible. So most of the time nowadays Im more guessing colors for you led guys.
      (cheap lcd tv)

I'm generally not a fan of smooth/round stone walls but in the case of Riverwood I think it appropriate considering that the source of the stone might have been river rocks which are smooth due to being worn by running water over time.
But if you do an internet search for instance on: ancient stone walls, you will find that most of ancient artisans carved the local stones into rectangular shapes to better fit together like bricks. The ancient pyramids in Egypt are a prime example of massive rectangular stones.
This image is one that I liked the most that depicts a gray stone wall comprised of rectangular stones that should match that color of the local mountain textures:

Those walls make much more sense.
As stated in the post below/above, I was thinking about the britains building walls, 100 years after the romands left.
      Like 500 after christ.
And also I have to fit the geometry!!!
Vanilla stonewalls around riverwood actually have a geometry, although it gets raped by 90% of other modders.
Also there is the mod called something like " real stonewalls" or something.
Which adds geometry to most of the farmhouse walls.
Wanted and had to fit those, too.
Therefore it's sadly impossible to fit any stonewall with realism.

Easy peasy to copy paste a good texture on those walls. BUT
Way harder to make some good looking walls according to the geometry.

This wall has to be a self-supporting structure since the wooden posts can't support anything except from the upper bridge. Considering the important wall thickness, exterior stones have to support whatever is used as a filling, which implies big enough stones with less friction as possible (or tighter stone structure with mortar). I've always found that using this kind of stones in such place was a bit weird, especially without moss.

Another thing that most people most certainly don't care about is that modders use plenty of different stone textures everywhere. Different stones in a single cave, city or whatever, doesn't make any sense. If they're building walls, they're using the nearest stone i.e. carriers or nearby rocky mounds. Clevercharrif or Wizkid did a good job, but their stones don't fit the scenery.

Overall Bethesda seems as skilled at designing architecture as solving bugs. Good luck !

Thought about it quite some time and I have to go with the geometry, but your thought has way more depth.
I thought about the stone wall, like some wall from english people 100 years after the romands left.
They had no clue anymore about how to build anything.
Well, the look of it will be improved and also the realism.
