He's not racist though. He's just preoccupied with a WAR. Wars put a LOT of pressure on EVERYONE, not just soldiers. My great aunt used to own a Campbell's soup factory, and when world war 2 came to america, the military converted it to produce steel. Now, I realize this had nothing to do with the picture, but I just wanted to point out that war puts pressure on people on an individual level. It's because of said war that he isn't focusing on the dunmer, who for the record decided themselves to live in that area with a treaty by his father. At least that's my understanding. Not to mention the fact that they and the argonians have a VERY volatile relationship with each other. There's also the fact that they don't contribute to the war. Sure, they aren't technically natives, but they can still do something to make something of themselves. This one dunmer farmer from one of the farms outside the walls does contribute by producing food, because as napoleon once said, "an army is a creature that marches on its stomach." My point here is, don't jump the bandwagon immediately. Do your research, look at both sides of the argument, and make a decision for yourself. Don't just read posts on reddit or steam or whatever and take it as truth.
Easy there lad, This is just a video game, I didn't mean any crap to it lol but yeah we'll discuss this. His decisions though does not make it any better either and i understand why he thinks like that. War is a very hard situation for a leader. It is just that the influence he gives to the racists nords that catcalls and accuses the Dunmers that is trying to live peacefully isn't really doing any favors to him either. if only Ulfric had been more welcoming to the other races by not treating them bad, or atleast giving them a little bit of respect, It would at least help in the relationship of both races. You have a war going on, Displeasing the other side isn't going to help also at all.
It's cool. I can see both sides of the argument. But between Ysgramor trying to kill all the elves in ages past, to Ulfric forcing all the Dunmer to live in a ghetto, you definitely get a racist vibe from the Nords. Not to mention the scripted scene when you first ender Windhelm where two drunken @$$holes threaten a Dunmer. The whole situation, while fictional and perhaps not wholly consistent, is unfortunate.
