About this image

Well, my latest retex had a pretty good reception, lot of enthusiasm so I went ahead and started another one. I'm liking this new iteration of leather, the specular is much more interesting but I'm still adjusting it. Might go back and update nightingale. The metal parts are work in progress, it's not going to have enviroment mapping because vanilla hasn't. Seeing a lot of the comments in the nightingale retex, I'm going to actively try to not require meshes. So, it can't be something shiny, black paint makes sense, kinda worn, spec and diffuse will probably be enough, it's not a lot of surface. So far I'm staying close to the original but feel free to suggest changes. I might do robes too.

For your future consideration in other projects.

    1) There's no Daedric Armor (or Light Armor variant) that is honestly impressive in Skyrim.
    2) There is a severe lack of good Light Armor moda in SSE. This and the Nightingale have made my day. Thank you for this.
    3) There is no show stopping cloth armor in SSE.

    Thank you for your work!

More "lore friendly" retexture of Thieves Guild Armor would be nice too.

I with you on this one, specially the Daedric armor, i'm using the Glorious Daedric Retxture and it's pretty awesome, however the metal parts do not make sense regarding the lore, the ebony is an amorphous metal, which make it's structure very unique compared to the other metallic materials found in the game, also, according to the lore, the ebony ruptures and the daedra blood sips into the cracks during the forging process, so perhaps a cracked texture with red glowmaps for the fissures on black glossy metal would be amazing

That is a nice armor mod, but it doesn't say Daedric to me. Inspired by perhaps, but I don't see him and think he's wearing a full suit of Daedric armor. Also that armor is only for human men. No beast races or women. So that armor might as well not even exist for me.

You'd be a hero, if you smooth that little sigil that holds the hood together!

The blockiness of the model, right? It's kinda horrible indeed.

I'd love to see a possible remake for the Blade of Woe as well to go along with this! You do amazing work.

I actually agree with the worn leather approach because there are harsh snowstorms, then sun, harsh rain, then sun.

Leaving leather dried and cracked. I have endured many winters in my leather jackets and I know that no amount of pampering them stops nature from taking its toll.

    Anyways incredible work as always!

Really it depends on what your goals are when you mod Skyrim. Some mod for the sole purpose of creating beautiful Skyrim screen art. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Then you have those who mod for lore friendliness, immersion, playthrough, realism, etc. I try to do a little of everything.

Hmm weird my comment disappeared I think. I like the worn look, like this is old armor with a history this is something someone has been taking into caves and shadowy places with dust. It just adds more details/wear, than something shiny/sharper/newer. Please keep posting your mods on console, I can't afford a new PC after my last one fried. I know people can be rude there but you could always disable comments and re-direct them to nexus, that'll weed out most of the rude people or people who don't know anything about LO and only bring people who have legitimate bugs, etc.

Regarding robes, that would be fantastic, there is not a single good robe texture/replacer on console that I'm aware of other than Opulent outfits and it's buggy as hell. I think Campolo is working on getting a clothing overhaul but that might be a long way away and I'm sure if you allow him it would look better with your works in it as well. Anyway you are one of my favorite modders along with rxkx22 and Gamwich, keep up the good work, you work really fast too lately.

For people who hate hoods, are you considering adding a "scarf". A neck wrap with that metal pin without a full cape would look epic. Always hated how capes clip weapons and how hoods hide my character's hair.

Amazing! in my opinion this is the worst looking armour in the game overall and I've never been able to find a replacer I liked but this looks great. Bit of a shame they'll be no env mapping, really helps make metal look more like metal but I understand the decision.

Keep up the good work. :)
