Been toying with the idea of a new ENB. Either going a stronger Fantasy style or more a somber look. But, just messing around today I got this look with sunsets. Pretty nice I think. What do you think? Oh and if I went with a new ENB what do you think. Fantasy or Somber?
Fantasy. Definitely fantasy. Nearly everyone for SE that has a shred of ENB presets skill is tooting "realistic" presets. I'd like to see a well-made fantasy preset.
Yes, I am noticing a lot of new ENB presets are going for a realistic look and (not to sound like I have a big head) looking a lot like my NVT ENB and Rudy's ENB lately. That is what is driving me to try one with stronger colors. But, I am not a fan over colors that are just way to powerful and just ruin the whole thing.
I like the idea of bringing a new ENB to the table that is different than the rest. If what you wanted to achieve in the amazing photo above was to enhance light, I would focus on a more somber ENB which seems to be popular above but focus your energies on making light sources including sunrises and sunsets fantasy and more colorful. Just my opinion although anything you do is great.
I was trying to achieve better lighting in a new version especially for sunsets/sunrise. I could see if I could make days more somber but, wouldn't it feel weird when sunset time comes and its colorful?
Simply stunning!!!! How about somber and fantasy? Love the deep, rich and darkish look you have here, nicely balanced with the lighter almost cream tones in the fantastic sky lighting.
Actually, maydragon has a fantastic idea. You can all it Alice in Wonderland ENB. The real world exterior is somber and dismal. But when Alice goes inside the rabbit hole (interiors) the world is bright and cheerful. :) Or on the flip side, Alice could live in a dark dreary interior and the rabbit hole is every door to a fantasy world exterior. hahaa
Thanks. Yes, I agree with the look you are describing of the sunset. I could see if I could do a combo but, that would be very hard without weather support I think.
that would be cool I was thinking more of taking a darker approach to a fantasy look than re-engaged. Something like some of the grim and somber ENB presets for LE or Antique Dragon ENB for LE
I took a look at some of the pics at the Antique Dragon webpage and I love the look. I would call it: Dark Fantasy. Honestly there is nothing currently in SSE that looks like that. It's probably just the opposite of what most of your users want but it's a mood I try to achieve through adjustments to your presets. I like dark blue skies, dark interiors and dark nights. What can I say, I like darkness. I guess I should be roleplaying as a vampire but I hate that ugly vampire face. LOL But it's going to take more than just adjustments to your current presets; it's going to take a new generation of shaders to define those environments.
Yes, I think a lot of users dont want things too dark. I used to have darker nights and interiors but, got lots of comments it was too dark. So just go brighter and let users adjust from there.
Maybe a Somber style would be a good idea! I already thought about make a Somber ENB (I even started to polish a LUT for it on Photoshop), but I don't know yet if I will go on with it, maybe in a distant future...... . Create and update ENBs are very laborious tasks. I wonder how it would be when Boris release the multi weather support........ A long time tweaking a lot of files for weathers IDs............
I’m of the mind for a somber one. I’m curious if you go fantasy how you’d handle it against your re-engaged enb. If you need any testers I’ll gladly volunteer.
If fantasy I’d like to see something like a PRTish.
Love the sunset. That has more of a somber, Dark Ages, don't go sleep without some garlic around your neck look. :) And as I have said before, character skin tones, faces, etc. look a lot better in cloudy weather. Brightness and excessive bloom definitely tend to wash out face textures. Of course if you go with a bright fantasy look I guess I could walk around with a helmet on because you know I will have to test it. hahaa I will say this: considering you are already diligently managing 2 separate ENBs, you certainly are a glutton for punishment. :)

I think you will make a great ENB!!
Same goes for Rudy ENBs too!

Yes, I may hate myself if I release another. lol.. Not sure why I have this drive right now to try one out.
