Spring has sprung. I don't think I have every seen that many flowers in a real forest environment but it does make for a pretty scene.

"Well it is just a video game"

What is this video game thing you speak of? You must not be from around here. :)

Seriously though, that forest shot looks really good. The branches on those fir type trees and the bark look very realistic.
      Very nice shot.

Modding for realism is fun. But then again fantasy is a lot more appealing overall.

I enjoy a balance between realism and fantasy. Sky color is a good example. The sky where I live is typically a pale pastel blue on clear bright days. In game I prefer a darker blue sky. I also like slightly more color saturation in general than is typical in reality. But overall, I want the details of textures to be high resolution and should look real. Vegetation should be consistent with reality. I don't expect to see a field of tulips in Skyrim. Items should be consistent with the time period. I have no interest in modern weapons, etc. in Skyrim. But yea, in the end it boils down to a matter of taste but I do think there is a general consensus on what is good taste which tends to define the more popular mods.
