Nothing is like a greataxe when you're in the mood for some chop, chop...

      Thank you kindly!

It's quite pleasing when a character have some eyes that draws you in and tells you a story without anything being said at all. Gives them life so to speak...

And from the face of innocence, this character seems to have a hidden anger about her...possibly something just burning up her soul...I may be way off the mark here, Rick, but I would not want to upset her!

You're quite close actually, because she holds a lot of anger inside her. Mostly because she feels treated unfairly, but also for the choices she's done in her life and where they have put her in the present time.

It's difficult to create mature women with the High Poly Head - or at least I feel it is - but Ragnhild here is actually in her late 40´s, close to be 50 years of age. She's a prominent and outstanding warrior who sided with some settlers arriving to tribal lands in the cold north of my worldspace. This choice caused her to be despised among former friends and kinsmen, since they didn't really like newcomers to the land, but Ragnhild felt it being wrong trying to show them off, so instead she took the role of their protector - a vanguard if you will - to make sure they could start their new lifes in safety.

She's sort of trapped between two places for this. Her former tribe dislike her, scorn her even, all while the settlers still see her as a pagan and a barbarian they can't fully trust, even after all the things she has done for them. It's just in their natural reasoning to behave like this, so with the years, a lot of anger took root within Ragnhild.

This is a very interesting background old mate, but it puts me in mind of the old saying..."no good deed ever goes unpunished"!
