Yes! They deal elemental damage, freeze / paralyze / poison and provide buffs for the player. You can craft them. Also the sound and the light color are different for each torch. They're not listed as shields or weapons, they're lights, so it's kinda challenging to make them useful gameplay-wise. I'm going to refine these "enchantments" and then release :)
That sounds brilliant. Even without perks they can certainly be on par with the usefulness of shields, especially if this combination can supplant dual-wielding as the premier "offensive" build. With the new utility we can use the "block" function more creatively rather than just a damage soak.

Will any of these torches offer combat bonuses? I certainly wouldn't mind a viable alternative to shields for my next play-through.
Hope to see it featured sometime in the future.
