This mod will also include the stormcloaks officer set and the CC stormbear set. So it could still be useful for those? Thankfully guard armor replacer uses 100% unique meshes and texture paths. So you’ll be able to install everything without having to worry about compatibility issues
1. Many mods reuse vanilla guard armors for new cities (ie falskaar reusing the markarth guard armor for Amber creek)
2. If I added emblems, I would want them to look like embroidery and have thickness but all these sets share the same 3 normal maps (leather shirt, Scaled shirt and scaled shirt with metal highlights) so it would be impossible.
I only kept the helgen emblem because the original version has it.
but thankfully, the falkreath and riften versions look a lot less similar in-game. The screenshots here aren’t doing the best job at showcasing that
falskaar and midwood isles use the vanilla texture paths for the normal map and both mods reuse some vanilla diffuse texture paths for some of their guards. Like falskaar uses the markarth and winterhold guards textures but simply renames them. Midwood does the same with the whiterun textures.
so it gets a bit tricky because of that, for falskaar and midwood.
though guard armor replacer uses 100% unique texture and meshes folder structure. So my mod won’t override anything from it, no matter the load order
