I'm curious about this as well. If this is a completely separate release from the original Draugr Upgrades, then I'm wondering what the key differences between the two mods are.
The Restless Dead will be a new mod that builds on D.U.I.. I am reusing most of the D.U.I. models (with reworked textures), which is why the NPCs in the screenshots look familiar.
The main difference between T.R.D. and D.U.I. is that T.R.D. distributes different types of undead according to which type of dungeon you're exploring: - Dragon Cult dungeons will have vanilla style Draugr, Berserkers, Priestesses, and Talons from D.U.I., alongside Sentinels and Battlemages with new-ish model. - Other dungeons will have Draugr (and skeletons) from different time periods in Skyrim's history, based on the idea that Nordic tombs served as burial sites for dead Nords a long time. The undead in these tombs will have more "modern" armor and weapons (a mixture of vanilla and lore-friendly custom assets). The steel clad Draugr and skeletons in the other screenshots are an example.
Other differences between D.U.I. and T.R.D. include: - Rebalanced stats and skill levels. - More variation in Draugr and skeleton models. - Visually distinct undead "factions" i.e. Dragon Cultists, ancient dead, and dungeon specific Draugr (e.g. Potema's Royal Guards or the corrupted shades in Kilreath Ruins). There will also be some practical differences too, for example, Dragon Cultists use shouts, but other Draugr will have better equipment. - New unique bosses, aiming for at least one in each dungeon. - Once I'm done with the "common" undead I will turn my attention to Dragon Priests, Soul Cairn undead and ghosts.
The elemental Draugr are now the Dragon Cult's battlemages. They are still affiliated to a specific element and retain their special FX, but they have normal skin. The special skins will probably be used for new unique bosses.
