    I may have found this kind of lighting distracting when I tried it yet I would surely miss it if you didn't use it.  Again, these image are truly gorgeous!   

    Curious about your Dragonsreach...  I thought you were using JK's...  But, those pillar engravings and banners look a lot like Redbag's Dragonsreach.   Maybe the authors used the same modder's resources for those items...  hmmm...  

    Grabbed the latest Ronnie Magnum blade, reinstalling all the textures I had to pull to find the two bad patches that were causing that persistent bug and then I am back in game!!!  Huzzah!!!     Thanks for all your help!

      I use pFuscher’s Skyrim 2020 so although the Dragonsreach is JK’s it may be using whatever textures I have installed.

      Probably some shared assets from a modder's resource there.  I recognized the WR banners and the carvings on the post bases.  Thank you for clarifying

    I'm jealous. My Dragonsreach lighting used to look like this but it randomly got super bright. No clue how to fix it.

      Probably a mod overwriting the Dragonsreach Location and Cell records. You can open up your load order in SSEEdit, and check if these records appear red (indicating they need a patch)

      Yeah I did all that and nothing's overwriting it last I checked. My Palace of the Kings is the same way.

      Agree with checking in xEdit for the cells you have issues with.
      sounds like a conflict between mods.

      edit: are you using interior overhaul mods?
      if so do you have compatibility patches for them installed?
