I'm writing this on the 7th anniversary of Misty Skye's original launch, which was April 01, 2017. Happy Birthday, Misty!
I never expected I would still be working on this mod after seven years. It literally started out as an April Fools joke, but pretty quickly took on a life of its own. Now, all these years later, it's evolved into a mod of incredible depth, richness and complexity... but this is not obvious at first glance.
A lot of people, I think, see the title and NOPE the heck out, assuming it's just a sex mod. But people who do check it out are usually impressed. I've only ever gotten positive reactions from people who have played through it. The download to endorsement ratio is pretty respectable. I'd really like for more people to play through it, though.
For anyone who's on the fence, here's a list of things worth knowing:
* It's not a porn mod, it's a comedy!
The humor is risque, sure, but the focus is always on the humor. As I'm fond of saying, it's not a porn mod with jokes, it's a comedy mod with boobs. It's got lots of nudity, but the nudity is there in service of the story and the jokes. The adult content is actually pretty tame compared to a lot of other mods.
* It's a quest mod!
I've long been on the fence about whether to change its category from "followers and companions" to "quests and adventures," because in a lot of ways it's more accurate to call it a quest mod than a follower mod. It has hours of quest content, and all the quests are crazy and fun.
* It's satirical!
A lot of the humor is sort of meta-humor about the Skyrim modding scene. Poking a bit of fun at horny mods and horny players, in a good-natured sort of way. It's deconstructing Skyrim mods through the lens of a Skyrim mod! If you've spent a lot of time browsing the Nexus, you're going to see a lot of familiar concepts sort of turned on their head.
* It's lore friendly! Mostly!
I get a little grumpy when people say it's not lore friendly, because it's not like it's full of Star Wars references or something. Despite the jokes, I put a lot of effort into making Misty feel like a living part of a living world, a real person who could exist in Skyrim. Aside from the meta-humor and the occasional subtle fourth wall break, it's all pretty well rooted in the world of Elder Scrolls. Boobs are actually canon, you can look it up.
* The title is based on "The Erotic Adventures of Zorro."
That was actually one of several films made in the late 60's to mid-70's with similar titles. Early sexploitation films that you might almost call porno parodies of folk hero stories. This mod is actually a lot less pornographic than those movies, but in a sense, it was made in the same spirit.
* This mod is secretly all about girl power!
The stories presented here have strong recurring themes of women owning their bodies and their sexuality. It just delivers the feminist messages with a lot of tits in your face to help 'em go down smooth. Certain of you might not want to hear this. If you are bothered by feminist themes, please feel free to speak up so I can block your ass. If you're still here, give the mod a try!
I'm tremendously proud of the work I've done on this mod over the past seven years. I feel like Misty Skye easily stands as one of the best follower/quest mods you can get for Skyrim, and yet it still struggles quite a bit with visibility due to the adult-ness of it. What it needs first and foremost is more people playing it, and then hopefully endorsing it and telling their friends.
Thanks for stopping by!

My current issue: After gathering up the chemises, panties, and shoes inside and outside the cavern, some of the girls end up taking more than one of the three items, making sure that you can't get all the girls dressed. So now, I have the group following me around...fortunately, they seem to be smarter than followers in that they linger or cower back, and not get in weapons line-of-sight. Does the cave system and dropped items restock over time? Or can someone post me the chemise, panties, and slippers in-game ID numbers, so I can at least summon what I need?
I was actually enjoying the mod so far and came to see if I could find a bio of Misty (couldn't really find a good one) but comments like that make me cringe and feel it's rather narrow-minded to say “if you don’t think like I do, you’re not welcome”. Of course you have every right to say what you want but such attitude can easily push people away from your mod.
A low-effort generic waifu pic with no other context prob leads many to presume this is a low-effort mod.
That's what MY impression always was; I modded for perhaps 2 years before finally trying this.
A pic of her boob-band on a dark background. Or the svelte glove of Dark Lord Travis... CLASPING said boob-band.
& delete all the up-front screenshots you have. they serve no purpose but to disinterest those that are on the fence and typically avoid "non-immersive" stuff.. People will click the mod wondering WHAT this mysterious mod could be about, considering it already has 10k endorsements. This mod has innate charm that can win them over.
to lure in a larger audience you need... allure.
& instead of the plain dull uninteresting Erotic Adventures of Misty Sky title, make it vague and mysterious...
Misty Skies
I'm about 50 hours into my current playthrough, and for the last 5 hours or so I've "parked" Misty and Summer at an inn because of what seem to be script load issues. I happened across another Misty NPC in Markarth today and realized there were still Misty quests I haven't seen. So...I'll be "unparking" them and dealing with the script load issues some other way!
As an official Old Fart, I LOVE the subtle and not-so-subtle humor in the mods!! Good work!
Now I have to figure out how to bake her a cake with extra sweet sugary goodness.
I know I've endorsed on SSE and Oldrim and I have told all my friends about her. Great job!
And now you've went and added another quest. I guess I'll have to load her up on this save as well. Well, maybe next playthrough. Hmm
