Skyrim Special Edition



YASH2 is compatible with just about everything out of the box. Mods that either alter vanilla humanoid Race records or add new humanoid races require a compatibility patch though. If you are unsure how another mod will work alongside YASH post a comment, I'll have a look and if necessary I'll provide a compatibility patch.


Tested mods


The following mods have been either tested by users request or out of curiosity. They have been tested with tools and to some extents in-game as well. Their presence in this section doesn't mean I personally recommend or oppose their use, either alone or alongside YASH. I'm neutral. Your call. If I stumble upon issues I may add proper notes though. Does not mean that the mod is safe to use if there aren't any, I may not have noticed anything at first glance.

Unless otherwise indicated, during the tests all mods in this section have been loaded together with YASH2.esp loaded higher in the load order, to detect potential changes to all YASH mechanics. Check this section often as it is in constant update, either because new stuff is added or because mods get updated and old checks are no longer valid.

Note that "Conflict" does not inherently mean "bad". It all depends on what you want to achieve from your load order. For instance, you *want* Andromeda to conflict with YASH so that the former replaces the YASH standing stones. If not, there would be no point in installing that mod.

Also note that compatibility checks are in regard to functionality, not to gameplay, which is pretty subjective in terms of compatibility. You are the one supposed to test these mods in-game and tell if they do what you want in conjunction with YASH. For instance, if for some reason you really want to mix hardcore and casual together, you might want to disable magic skills scaling when using mods such as Ordinator so that you don't become OP. Other players may have a different view and leave things as they are. Again, your call.

A word of warning: adding gameplay mods to YASH, hence producing mixed results, falls completely under your responsibility. YASH is designed to be used with *no other gameplay mods of any kind*, so if you use one and report issues there will be nothing I can do to help you, except recommend you to uninstall that mod.

      just checked, if you want to have ordinator perks you should put yash earlier on load order

    Thanks for listing a way to fix Inigo he is my must have follower. This mod is amazing thank you for putting in all the time to make this mod, and listing compatibility for mods.

    I notice true armour mod, seems to be fine to use

    True Armor -- version 2.4.6SE

    but as it changes armour behaviour and even swing speed and stamina use , I cant see how it would not conflict with YASH, I think it should probably be noted that true armour functions are turned on from MCM in game, otherwise the mod does nothing.

    Seems like this would be a really nice mod to use with YASH making players more thoughtful about armour selection, lower level armours can still be valuable no matter the level with this mod.

    Would be nice to see an expert modders opinion and if there is in fact conflict.

      did you try it i really want to use it but i don't know how can conflict with yash since it also does """"the same thing"""" i don't know how the game will react.
      Or maybe it says there's no conflict because it will ad on top of yash or maybe we need to deactivate something from yash in the mcm.
      this is some useful info i found on true armor page
      True Armor is compatible with almost every other mod. However minor, reversible, soft incompatibilities can happen:

      Weapons swinging way too slow or fast. Happens when using mods that don't take others into account properly.
      Mods overwriting the game settings (speed penalty, stamina penalty, armor rating efficiency). Only one mod can control those at a time.
      Mods that somehow depend on the attributes of actors and have not taken other mods into account may be thrown off by True Armor.

      True armor doesn't do the same thing. True armor doesn't actually remove anything unless you disable the vanilla armor system in the mcm. Any effect in True Armor is an addition, not a replacement, that's why it's compatible with almost anything. It's the same as with music mods, you can have a mod that adds music on top of a replacer because mods that have similar effects can be compatible if they're implemented differently.

    I think there's a compatibility issue with Aurlyn Dawnstone , her carry weight is locked at 70.



    EDIT: It turns I out had some issues with AFT, they've been fixed now.

      did you try using the Reset NPC power after levelling up?  i think you have to do that for followers that run on their own framework.  (if you are not aware, you have to activate this power first in the YASH mcm, and then you can use it on your followers)

    Ars Metallica Conflict: Unable to mine multiple ores with YASH. Fix is to load Ars first before Yash and you are able to mine more than 3 ores now. I think the mod replaces veins because it gives a skill increase when mining ore.

    Guards don't have helmets when I use Improved Closefaced Helmets with YASH - and I made sure this was only happening when using ICH with YASH. :/

    EDIT: nevermind, it says why in the mod's description ("city guards don't wear helmets anymore").

      For anybody wondering, Enhanced Vanilla Trees is defo compatible. As for Perkus Maximus, definitely not compatible as they're both major overhauls and there would be too many inconsistencies with both together.
