Introduction
Have you ever entered your home, or the local tavern, armed to the teeth with all the weapons you have and found it weird?

Well, no more... With this tutorial, you can set conditions based on locations, equipped armor or even furnitures, to hide your displayed weapons so you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
What do you need:
- Immersive Equipment Displays and its requirements.
How to use IED (for the purpose of this tutorial)
I'll briefly show how to use IED and how to set up rules to hide your weapons.
There are two ways of doing this:
Using Gear positioning/nodes:
This method will directly change equipped weapons, making them invisible based on conditions, while also affecting displays for favorited weapons.
Similar rules can be applied to displays in "Custom view" as well.
First, we'll need to access the IED interface while in game and navigate to: View>Gear positioning(or gear nodes).
Choose where to apply, Global or Actor for example, and select "Positions".
Now, expand the weapon you want to use. Toggle "Invisible" and "Requires condition list":

Locations
Then add a new condition for "Location":

Now, click on the condition, and select the location you want.
You can choose by Form, Keyword, both or either. Match parent will also check the parent of the location. Some location may not have keywords, but their parents can.

P.S.: LocTypeInn is for taverns. You can look the cell keyword in xEdit.
Now add those conditions to all the weapons you want on this view.
Result:

More comfortable now.
(Un)Equipped armor
What about hiding your gear when your character is not wearing any body armor? For, errhm, bathing purposes.

Add a new condition for "Biped slot" > "32-Body":

Then click on the condition and select "Match skin". This will disable the weapon when the equipped armor matches the naked body. Yeah, the naked body is actually an armor in Skyrim.

What about only checking the boots, because you have a dagger attached to the ankle?
Same principle, just use the "Body Slot > 37 - Feet".
For conditions about equipped armors and such, check this other tutorial:
Furniture
Sitting uncomfortably with your weapons sticking out?

Add a new condition by furniture:

You can select by Form or Keyword. "Laying down" is for furnitures that makes your character lay down, like a bed.
You can leave the fields in blank to evaluate on all furnitures.
Using Equipment Slots:
This method will only change the unequipped weapons, making them invisible based on conditions (equipped weapons will still be displayed, unless you've followed the steps above).
Navigate to "View>Display Manager>View>Equipment Slots", choose where to apply, Global or Actor for example, and select the weapon you want.
Create a new "Equipment override" for the weapon, add the same conditions as the steps above and toggle "Disabled":

EDIT: Nevermind, jumped a step. Thanks for the guide.
You're looking in the wrong place, you need to open "View>Gear nodes" using the bar at the top.
Am I missing something?
Is there a way to do this with Backpacks?

But after you've created a config for a node, you can copy-paste to the others so it's less tedious, and after you've done it for all the nodes, you can create a preset so you don't have to do all that again when creating a new character.
For example: https://imgur.com/a/npTYVoL
(imgur killed the video quality)
You can also change the settings in the male sex, go to "Actions>Copy", then go to the female sex and "Actions>Paste over". So you don't have to repeat all that again.
On displays manager, there is an option "Copy from opposite sex".. Really handy.
