I use the COCO Body since I start using Skyrim SE so i didn't make BodySlide's for another body type.
The COCO BodySlide work fine for UNP bodies but is bad for most of the SE body types because don't include some of the Sliders of the SE bodies and with some presets the pubic hair's end under the skin for lack of sliders.
Now if you are using the default CBBE Body or a 3BA Body probably that body come with sliders like the "Vanilla SSE High" or "Old Shape" that aren't included on the COCO Sliders. In this case you can try adjusting the values or making a new BodySlide for your body type.
To convert the COCO BodySlide into another body type without losing the colors properties:
- Open the "Outfit Studio" and go to the top menu "File->Load Project"
- Select and open the file "PubicHairs_CBBE.osp" that is on the "CalenteTools/BodySlide/SliderSet/" of the Skyrim "Data" folder or the Mod installation folder.
- Now you will see a list with all the Hairs that have to be converted. Select the last one to start because for I remember once converted will be at the top of the list and will be easier to remember if you start for the bottom. By ready because the next steps have to be done 11 times (one per each hair).
* The hair should look white with part's yellow and orange because that's the texture base. - With the hair loaded go to the top menu "File->Load Reference..." and on the new window choose "Convert: SK CBBE To SSE CBBE" on the option "From Template"
* That's because the COCO Body is based on the Skyrim LE body dimensions and those dimensions have to be adjusted to the common Skyrim SE before apply the new sliders.- 4.1. disable the Merge options "Zaps" and "Sliders" at the bottom of the window and hit the OK button
- 4.1. disable the Merge options "Zaps" and "Sliders" at the bottom of the window and hit the OK button
- Now you should see a body with the hair perfectly fitting and one "SK CBBE To SSE CBBE" on the right panel.
- Now at the right panel on the "Meshes" you should see the "Pubic" and the "CBBE" layers. The "CBBE" layer is the layer of the Body and probably have another name but the important thing is that should be color Green and that means that is the Reference. If isn't Green them delete it and try to load the reference again starting from the step 4 but usually this means that something is wrong with the "Outfit Studio"
- If is everything right, select just the "Pubic" layer on Meshes of the right panel and enable the checkbox of the "SK CBBE To SSE CBBE" slider.
- If is everything right, select just the "Pubic" layer on Meshes of the right panel and enable the checkbox of the "SK CBBE To SSE CBBE" slider.
- Go to the top menu "Slider->Conform Selected"
- On the "Conforming..." window hit the button "Default" to be sure of use the Default values and then hit the "OK" button and wait a couple of second until finish
- On the "Conforming..." window hit the button "Default" to be sure of use the Default values and then hit the "OK" button and wait a couple of second until finish
- Now set the value of the "SK CBBE To SSE CBBE" slider on 100 and press the key "Enter" just to be sure that the value is applied.* The hair and the body should look different from before but still perfectly fitting.
- With the slider on 100 go to the top menu "Slider->Set Base Shape" and now the slider should by 0 again in sign that the hair and body are now transformed into the SSE dimensions.
- Now for safety reasons better Delete the body layer (CBBE) and go to the top menu "Slider->Delete Slider" because in some cases you can have issues with the next step if the reference layer and the sliders aren't removed, but most of the time are safe to keep.
- Go to the top menu "File->Load Reference..." and choose your Body from the Template list (usually "CBBE Body" or "CBBE 3BA Body" but depends of your body type installed)
- Once again make sure that all the Merge options be disabled and hit the OK button.
- Once again the body and the hair fit perfectly and you can see on the right panel a lot of sliders and one or more new layers and the layer of the new body reference is color green in sign that everything is right.
- With the body reference loaded select once again just the "Pubic" layer on the meshes and toggle a couple of times the "De-/Select Sliders" check box to make sure that all the checkbox of the slides are checked.
- With just the Pubic layer selected and the sliders checked go to the top menu "Slider->Conform Selected". Hit the Default button and then OK.
- Now change the value of some of the sliders to see if the hair follow the body. If not try again from the step 10. The "Belly" and "Groin" Slider's are the best for the tests.
- To save the changes:
- First Delete any other layer except for the Pubic and the Body reference in Green (some Loaded References come with extra layers that will be a problem if aren't deleted before save the file)
- Now Select the "Pubic" layer and go to the "Bones" to see and edit the Bones if is required.
* Usually not required but this pubic hair comes with the "NPC Belly" bone and some bodies don't have that bone in which case you can delete the bone or select all the Green Bones on the list and go to the top menu "Shape->Copy Selected Weights" to update the hair Bones for the current body type.
- Go to the top menu "File->Save Project As..." and disabled the "Copy Reference Shape into output" checkbox at the bottom.
- You can change the rest of the text options but do it just if you use more than one body type and will be better if all Pubic Hair's of the same Body type use the same "Shape Data Folder" and the same "Slider Set File"Now Save and start again from the step 3 with the next Pubic Hair.
At the end you will be able to Build new BodySlide with the right Preset but if you don't see your Preset on the list you can use the "Group Manager" button on the BodySlide to include the new Pubic Hair's on the group's of your body type. Many of the Presets are only showed when the Pubic Hair is part of the right group.
