This guide assumes you have basic xEdit knowledge, and have downloaded and installed both xEdit (with the executable re-named TES5VREdit.exe for this game), and Automation Tools.
These steps will involve taking a copy of this mod this mod, and translating it. A separate patch could be made instead, but it is easier for end-users to just keep the entire plugin (and assets), so they don't need to download an additional patch.
Open the translated USSEP and this mod in xEdit, then follow these steps:
- In this mod, determine the path in the records that needs their translations forwarded. For example, for Armor records, it would be "FULL" (the path used for Armor names). You can read more about how to find the path in Automation Tools' documentation.
- Highlight all records requiring the translation forwards in this mod.
- Right-click and run the "AT - QuickChange" script.
- Select "Restore" from the drop-down.
- Enter the record path (as found in step 2) in the "<Path>" box.
- Select "Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp" in the drop-down box to the right.
- To deal with additional paths for different record types (as found in step 2), click the box with "+" in the bottom-right and repeat steps 5-7 on the new row.
- Press "OK".
- Close xEdit and save your new plugin.
Note that some paths (that are nested multiple times) may not be assignable with Automation Tools.
