Troubleshooting:
- Make sure you've downloaded the Latest Version of the mod.
- Make sure you've properly installed SKSE and SkyUI.
- Make sure you aren't using Incompatible Mods.
- First try disabling then re-enabling the mod by going to MCM > General and unchecking "Enabled"
- Do not use any save games with 1.0.0 (it was not ESL-Flagged). v1.0.1+ is now properly ESL-Flag (thank you SheaMcD5 for catching that).
- If updating to v1.1.1 or higher, make sure the ../Data/Seq/Shadow of Skyrim.seq file is deleted.
- If the MCM menu is not showing/not fully loaded, please wait a few minutes and try again. It can take a while to appear the first time you install the mod, especially if you are starting a new game with hundreds of mods that are all trying to load at once.
- If you get a Flavor Text about your death and are exited to the main menu, the mod is working properly. This means you either:
- Died before the beginning "Unbound" quest was completed
- Are using an Alternate Start mod that does not complete the "Unbound" Quest (Enable "Alternate Start Compatibility" under MCM > General > Developer Settings)
- Died in a location that you cannot re-enter (e.g. Azura's Star)
- Died while transformed as a vampire or werewolf (which would otherwise cause issues when respawning)
- If you have issues with the Player skeleton, first try increasing the bleed out timer above 3 seconds. Alternatively, enable "Compatibility Mode" under General > Developer Mode. You can also reset your Player skeleton using "Reset Player Ragdoll".
- If you are reloading your last save when you die instead of respawning, you may be using an incompatible mod that allows essential NPCs to take damage. Also, make sure that "bEssentialTakeNoDamage=1" in your ini settings.
Found a bug?
Please provide as much information as possible:
- How/When/Where did it happen? How can I reproduce the bug?
- Screenshots and Papyrus log files are also very helpful.
- Please use the Comments section for reporting incompatibility with other mods. Please reserve the Bug Tracker for actual bugs.

The only issues I have.
1. The ragdoll kinda spazzes out and flings to the ground too harsh what you get knocked down. Just a minor thing that bothers me.
2. This one's a bit more significant because I think it's a glitch. But no matter what, every time I black out, my character spawns way too far from where I blacked out, despite what my settings are, and no matter how many times I reload the save and try again. It wasn't doing this before. I'm not sure what happened.
I'm dumb and figured it out. there's like 5 mods in Gates to sovengarde that are not compatible.
I did notice that I died but respawned right where I died and just kept getting killed, enabling compatibility mode fixed that. So if you're like me and wanted to add this to GoS, then follow my directions above.
Tho i don't understand : - you say "disable NADS when fighting the target" / "did not have to". So do i disable or not, in MCM menu ?
- then, "Turn off "Alternate Death System" in NADS" / "just had to enable compatibility mode". Here either i'm sure i understood wheter you say it's needed to disable or not
Thx anyway man
The mod will not activate. The SKSE change in user interface will not activate. And even though it exists, the mod organizer keeps telling me that files are not found from time to time. Even the main game for some reason, despite it clearly existing at the address it claims doesn't exist. The mods are placed accordingly as suggested. The mods are selected and installed. I simply can not fathom why it will just not work.
However, my good McDonald employee helped this untelligent human. But for now on this adventure has been ended in a good ending and hoping no more tragedy in the future.
