Let's say that you start your game with the original mod

Weapon Speed Mult Fix.esp

This version is NOT ESL and NOT SPID.

Now you want to switch to another version. In this case, you might risk some breaking save issue....you MIGHT!

There are solutions for every situation. Let's see them.

NOTE: CLEAN save has to be made when your character is UNARMED (no weapon in any hand)


1. Weapon Speed Mult Fix.esp -> Weapon Speed Mult Fix ESL.esp
a. In the case you didn't rename, you can still use the Fallrim Tools to eliminate the 4 unattached instances to fix your save.
b. NO ISSUES here IF you rename the ESL file like the original file before load your save.

2. Weapon Speed Mult Fix.esp -> Weapon SPID Mult Fix.esp
a. In the case you didn't rename, you can use the Fallrim Tools to eliminate the 4 unattached instances to fix your save.
b. If you decide to keep the same name you have to follow this procedure:
Be in an interior cell with no NPCs, CLEAN SAVE, Resave with Fallrim Tools, Load with the new mod renamed like the old version (don't forget to rename the _DISTR.ini and change the name of the mod inside the file).

3. Weapon Speed Mult Fix.esp -> Weapon SPID Mult Fix ESL.esp
a. In the case you didn't rename, you can use the Fallrim Tools to eliminate the 4 unattached instances to fix your save.

a. In the case you didn't rename, you can still use the Fallrim Tools to eliminate the 4 unattached instances to fix your save.
b. NO ISSUES here IF you rename the file like the original file before load your save.

5. Weapon Speed Mult Fix ESL.esp-> Weapon SPID Mult Fix.esp
a. In the case you didn't rename, you can still use the Fallrim Tools to eliminate the 4 unattached instances to fix your save.

If you cannot manage to fix it, a good advice is always start from a CLEAN save from a previous version.

Cleaning a save from unattached instances from a different mod with the same purpose should fix any problem before try to use my mod.
