Skyrim Special Edition

Requires program that can properly handle PSD files.

Stone Quarry - Diffuse

  • Open the StoneQuarry01.psd file.
  • The top layer should remain the top layer and the position of the asset should not be moved. This layer's blend has been set to Luminosity, which enables it to blend with the color and pattern of the layer below it.
  • The second layer down (below top layer) should be the texture used for blending. Users should use MountainSlab02.dds for this layer and it's found in Textures\landscape\mountains\. Either copy and paste it onto the layer provided or import it as a new layer.
  • (optional) Sometimes the luminosity of the stone quarry (top layer) will not quite match the mountain texture from just the steps above. If not, users can adjust the top layer as needed to get a better match. Most often users simply need to open Hue/Sat and lower the Lightness. This is preferred over lowering the Brightness as it will, usually, achieve better results.
  • Save the file in a DDS format with an alpha channel (preferably BC7).
  • Install and overwrite the Main File.
  • If the file also conflicts with the mountain retexture mod, overwrite it as well.

Stone Quarry - Normal
  • Open the StoneQuarry01_n.psd file.
  • The top layer should remain the top layer and the position of the asset should not be moved.
  • The layer below top layer should be the normal map that will be blended. Users should use MountainSlab02_n.dds for this layer and it's found in Textures\landscape\mountains\. Either copy and paste it onto the layer provided or import it as a new layer.
  • Save the file in a DDS format with an alpha channel (preferably BC7).
  • Install and overwrite the Main File.
  • If the file also conflicts with the mountain retexture mod, overwrite it as well.
