Firstly I have been very vocal of my disdain for the Creation Club in general, so why provide a page for patches for it? Well frankly because I saw Saints and Seducers and have always wanted madness armor in my Skyrim game and this achieved that goal. End of story. The entire spirit of modding is to make stuff for other stuff you enjoy, and that's what I'm doing. My hatred of the Bethesda cash grab and their exclusiveness with who they let in might bring me to a point of not wanting to support the program, but let's face it; my one time $15 purchase is not going to affect their mindset one way or another, not one little bit, so why deny myself the potential enjoyment of trying something out I like just to prove some obscure moral point? To feel good about myself? pfft.

Bottom line is I don't want to fuss with all the people asking about CC patches in the other avenues of support and if I can provide a central place to showcase people's patches they make for content they bought then all the better to have it in a central place instead of all over the Nexus. It also allows me to compartmentalize these patches away from the officially endorsed and supported ones and lay down a clear guideline on how they are listed, supported or otherwise handled. I can put up a clear "use at your own risk" disclaimer and say that only the logo marked "endorsed" ones have been checked by us and then wash my hands of any other potential problems that other patches may cause.

It ultimately comes down to providing more choice, more options and if you install something made by someone who doesn't really know what they are doing, you at least know up front that it came with no guarantee from me :D
