How to thrive in the New Economy
----
An essay by sir Invock, trader and self-made man, knighted in 4E186 for services rendered

Foreword

Since the introduction of the copper coin by emperor Titus Mede the First, things have changed in Tamriel.
Gone are the days of yore when everything could be settled with a couple septims in the right pocket... All right, this is not entirely true, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

They might not have the allure of the beloved Gold Septim, but those copper coins are nevertheless the blood of our economy.
They must circulate for the well-being of Tamriel, they must change hands, they must become silver, ingots... paper.
"But HOW?" I hear you ask, "How does this actually work? Why does a piece of paper cost so much? Why do these nasty merchants take an extra 10% on everything I exchange? Why shouldn't I keep all those copper coins instead of wasting them in some absurd and unfair economic system?"

All these questions are completely fair, and I will do my best to answer them all in the clearest and most meaningful way. By the end of this essay, the economic system should hold no secret to you, and you will be armed to become a cunning investor in this merciless world.

Great essay, loving it so far! But should "strive" be "thrive"?

Indeed. This is what happens when you're french and you want to write fancy words at 1:00AM. You just end up exhausted and you look like a fool. I'm going to edit all this immediatly.

Still, thank you for your kind words!
